You can do it. Above is a bit of a joke but there are millions of YouTube vids showing how to do an exercise. Its very simple, you dont have to be worried. :)
I started in January, now I have done 90 sessions soon. Body feels strong, clothes look much better, your posture will also improve, and your confidence.
Every time I hear a story like this, someone being in pain for years, surviving in a bed thanks to drugs and machines, I just have to wonder if this is what humans should do...
Im only middle aged right now so maybe my opinion will change when I get older but currently i would rather die earlier than being kept alive in a bed like this.
Anyway, its besides the point of the post. I hope you feel better soon. Losing a parent feels very empty.
Name one world leader except Trump that can make the stock market crash by speaking... :)
We dont have any big leaders in Europe that most people know by name even.
Its all talk about Trump, Musk, Zuckerberg over here too. Like mini America. There is nobody here who is saying anything people care about. We dont even know their names.
I had a system freeze during pacman update a few weeks ago and I couldnt get into any graphical environment anymore. It would just hang at boot.
With the help of chat gpt, I got instructions how to fix it. It took over an hour. Many system libs had 0 size all of a sudden so they couldnt load. Chat gpt got me through the process of reinstalling it all from the cache, keeping all config settings.
But that was the first time that ever happened in over ten years of arch.
Without chat gpt it would have been a full system reinstall, losing all settings, since I didnt know how to do what it suggested.
I think people who self host are the only ones who knows they services wont just disappear, their accounts wont get locked and their data wont be shared with big tech.
Others can wake up one day and not have access to their stuff anymore, and have nothing they can do about it.
How mad is it to just rent access to your movies, or documents, and it can go away at any moment?
You are 30-something and you feel over the hill.... Ok...
Your joints should be optimal at that age so I have no idea whats going on. Are you American eating fast food a lot? I dont know otherwise what can cause that...
Yeah. Mine too. It always goes down this path, and after 20 years of doing it, i actually decided to stop working and see if I can cut my costs a lot and live off stocks and savings.
Its also the feeling that i want to decide what I do every day, even if that just is doing nothing. Why cant i do nothing if I want to?
It has tons of buses and trains, but without a vehicle, I cant carry any stuff. I cant shop for a full week with 4 big bags of food and then carry that on the train or the bus.
I cant buy 10 liters of paint and carry it on the bus or train and walk home with it. In theory i could, but its a horrible experience.
I think living without a car works if you are living in a apartment in the city and you shop at the same nearby food shop every day. But you have no options.
Even buying something at Ikea would require a lot of planning. To get there with some bus, to pay for transport home, to be home when they come etc etc.
These are just examples but they add up. Life with a car is freedom.
One thing ive noticed is that the younger generation, which I assume you are, have a lot of desire to change capitalism but absolutely shit poor ideas how to do it.
Im not saying I have any great ideas either. But making the already suffering employees suffer more will not lead to changes. You know that.
Yeah because it lets me take care of things for the household. Go shop for food, get stuff for renovating house, go to work and home on my own...
I used to just take the bus everywhere but I didnt get anything done. I bought food in the same small overpriced food shop near my apartment, I didnt renovate anything since it was hard to get all the materials home, and I was crowding with others every day at public transport, often waiting for late buses or freezing.
The car has been a massive life upgrade. If you are reading this as someone who lives in an apartment and are happy with that kind of life, thats great. For me it would be a nightmare.
Yeah I understand the value of that. We can see it also in consumer electronics, or any consumer product really, how its designed to break right after warranty.
Its fun to hear from these companies how they care about the environment while at the same time producing endless things that will end up in the trash in just a few years.
I will gladly give up a few games for running an amazing operating system instead of windows shit. :)
