  • My suggestions for units of measurements, in no specific order:

    • Thimbles
    • Water balloons
    • Per hoppus foot
    • Cord and rick
    • Burlap potato sacks
    • Waffle irons
    • Size 11 wooden clogs
    • Drums
    • Silos
    • Minecarts
    • Blimps/zeppelins
    • Potential babies
  • Oh dear, I was hoping that one would die with reddit.

  • I believe that someday scientists will develop a tool that will be able to accurately measure your gargantuan penis, once we have the technology.

  • Today shall be remembered as the day the rogue penises finally won.

  • Chris Pratt

  • That's fair. He also did the first couple Raimi Spider-Man flicks and the '97 X-Men cartoon. So he has worked on some solid projects. But looking through his IMDB credits is mostly not inspiring. He's produced most of the worst superhero movies ever made and few of the best. lol

  • I was hyped until I saw that Avi "Compulsively Ruins Spider-Man Movies" Arad is producing. 😬

EDIT: Oh and it's Sony. And the director choice.... eeeeeeeehhh. Here's hoping for a pleasant surprise, I guess?

  • He's got enough problems

  • I'm seriously considering going AMD for my GPU. I will sorely miss DLSS and good raytracing performance, but Nvidia driver support on Linux (and honestly even on Windows sometimes) is just terrible.

  • DraStic is amazing on midrange devices. Compatibility is excellent in my experience, there's a lot of UI customization available, and there are some nice filter and scaling options built-in. It also has full controller support.

  • All of this is right, plus AppImage provides portability. I have all of my emulators in AppImage format in portable mode on a portable drive so I can move it from one PC to another and have all my games, configs, saves, etc.

  • Came here to say this. IMO, the 8bitdo controllers are the best out there.

  • Who is scrolling reddit calling people "dipclown" or "trumpstick"?

They're not unused, and that is unsettling.

  • Just got around to beating Titanfall 2 for the first time. It was a great plaaythrough, and not that long at all. You can beat it in under 8 hours, no problem. I think it took me 6 or 7 hours. Def recommended if you're into scifi shooters with mechs and kick-ass set pieces.

  • This. We as a community can do our part to downvote bad info (at least on kbin, idk if Lemmy has downvoting or not) and commenting to let people know what's up--but that will only go so far and we're not gonna catch everything. We can also report harmful misinformation that we see, but all the same, plenty of users will still receive and buy into it before it's dealt with. We need well-moderated communities for a reasonable level of peace of mind.

  • I wonder what the full scope of privacy benefits might be here? Obviously, if you log into your account and interact with videos, YouTube will be able to see that--but are you protected from other forms of tracking? If you don't opt to login, how private is it really? With NewPipe, I know it's completely private, whereas with Vanced, there were some inevitable privacy holes. I'm really curious where this application falls in all of that. It'd be nice to see a breakdown of what this app does and does not do for one's privacy.
