  • Idk what the big savings is with storage. I have 200GB from my plan but store abt 2 GB of photos and documents. Am I just not using proton to the fullest potential?

  • I saw the new promo for proton duo, marketed as $119 for two users this black Friday. I spent $220 some dollars on an individual plan for a 2 year term for a single user abt 2 years ago. I want a prorated refund or a better deal on individual rates because this is becoming major bs the more I'm thinking about renewing my subscription

  • This is the discourse I like to see. I had no clue Obama was endorsed by the Heritage Foundation. Instead of assuming people are stupid and can't comprehend something start with compassion and patience. Sure I started sounding like an Obama 'apologist' but I also didn't vote for him, I was 8 and 12, respectively, when he was elected into office. Before I was 18 I was staunchly alt right by way of social media and YouTube ragebait. I disappointedly voted liberal in the last few elections because... yeah 2 party systems suck.

  • Cool so acknowledging that a president moved the needle means that I cannot also support a revolution. Thanks for saying X means Y and Z, it really widens people's perspectives. I upvoted your comment in another thread, we're all friends here but truly thanks for calling me an ignorant bootlicker

  • But like Obama was still better by leagues among his peers. Sure Obama killed a few people, you think Bush didn't? What about Biden? Carter? At least he didn't sick his ICE troopers on American citizens, we got accessible healthcare, a black president, repealing some war on drug laws. Obama is a saint compared to his peers. Sorry he killed a few people while ensuring a generation could have healthcare. Powerful people do bad things 🥱. Acting like the Pope hasn't killed people lol

  • Walks along the sand and the sea front sidewalks were beautiful. I have so many pictures from that time and I look at them fondly, also because the dog we had passed away since then and he's in a lot of the photos.

  • I love the classic terminal. I grew up in the 2000s so everything had GUI but I like the simplicity of using commands and running programs that seem "hidden" to a regular user. Also nerd is my aesthetic and I like nerdy shit

  • If you like psych like I did then High Potential on Hulu is really good and I love the main actress and her energy

  • I consider it a ton of effort because I learned a bunch about self hosting but I would love to get paid for my Jellyfin server

  • Down vote me if ya want but I very much feel OP. I always will take an older model or refurnished over some new, overly priced gizmo. I understand that the new thing is maybe an improvement but the capitalist churn of new devices every other week makes me sick. "What's wrong with older devices?", is my shtick. A computer from 2011 will run fine without a copious amount of bloat publishers push. I had a very thoughtful mother in law who fixed my screen on my computer instead of buying me a new laptop. My ex husband on the other hand always wanted the trendiest item Instagram was selling and would request his mom get it for him, we were poor (who would've guess two kids in their 20s were working on our finances). I'm still actively playing my original Xbox One from 16ish years ago, and my console still loads faster than my friends' newer consoles.

  • Not to add to this but my dad recorded my screen and got to see what I was searching for. I was gay but it doesn't give your parent any rights to your privacy. He used my porn habit as a way to ground me and forced me to go to Sex Addicts Anonymous before I graduated high school and went to college

  • Hey don't harsh my mood. I was trying to resemble some good volunteer work I did in the past to push me out of my comfort zone and show up to my first job in months, even if it was just a dishwasher job. I have severe social anxiety and general anxiety so I was psyching myself up to it. I was working at a very popular bakery for a long time a year ago and quit because my manager and upper management were assholes. I kinda got jaded against people facing jobs and shitty management. I requested a trial shift at a gay bar last week and they really wanted it to work out for me, and the managers were also nice. I also got paid the same money working Back of House as I did in front of house at that awful bakery, consisting of base pay ($13) and a few extra dollars from tips. I'm thinking I'll move from BOH to FOH in the future when openings pop up. Sorry to rant

I moved to a city and haven't found food kitchens in the area to volunteer at, which is something I like to do

  • Mood. I reverse psychologized myself into taking a shift as a dishwasher on the same principle. It was at a bar and I made bank from the shift. Definitely interested on climbing the ladder in the future

  • I was gonna mention my library organization others free museum passes, usually up to four tickets to bring children or friends. They even offer tickets to local concerts and shows. My friend and I went to a free showing of the orchestra! Please don't flood the ticket site because there's already a lot of competition for free tickets

  • I also floss for the week leading up to the dentist lol

  • I wish I was that succinct. I got a personalize sonnet from staments 😽. I listened twice to hear the emphasis on "luscious", very seductive

  • I feel this. I heard staments voice when he was recording a video of his cat and was instantly crushing.

  • I use to watch neural learning videos on YouTube and found the work they were doing really interesting and over all good for computers. Then I saw OpenAI come out with their LLMs and chat bots and I wasn't really a fan of them but I used them early on to get some familiarity with it and didn't like that I had to Google everything and then feed it to the AI for it to get a somewhat decent answer. I don't like that everyone is turning to AI to generate advertising and make ai slop memes. Also my sister had a psychotic episode after the bot affirmed her deepest insecurities and turned her against her family and friends. So like the sooner we run out of power to feed these monsters the better

  • Mildly Infuriating @lemmy.world

I got out easy, I'm assuming
