Usually a lurker.Maybe I should've just shut up and thought for a bit longer before writing that comment...

If you want to talk to me elsewhere, you know how to reach me.

  • Maybe you know the answer to my question:If I'd want to use any app that doesnt run in a webbrowser (e.g. the native jellyfin app), how would that work? Does it still work then?

  • Hope you have backups.Broke my neck a few times (I currently am waiting out the jellyfin patches and stay on 10.10.7 (i think))

  • Same here.Read deployment documentation, configure compose to my standards, deploy, update where necessary to align with the update (e.g. remove an environment variable.

The editing is done on my PC, then I open WinSCP or ssh into it (depending on my mood and amount of changes) and then apply the changes

  • Yeah, then you need to implement it at the webhost level.

  • Not really a switch since it's only my server ;)

Regarding HWA: The server acts as my media server (with jellyfin). To play incompatible media on my numerous devices, I need to transcode it.That action is called "hardware acceleration" or HWA :)

  • They also have a plugin for opnsense (if you use that)

  • The competitors don't really try to be better. And if, the driver is a mess.

  • Not a brit

    Also American

You arent implying everyone is from the Freedomland, are you?

  • Inplace replacing my Debian 11 host with Debian 13 and after completing the setup, restoring the files.

All in all, I am in it since 7pm (28th nov) and right now (1:23am) restoring the backed files.Next stop: Setting up HWA :)

Edit: The migration is almost complete and I only need to configure my cron tasks. In total the migration took until 4am.So total time: About 9 hours :)I am so done with it. I came from work, did IT troubleshooting work, came home and did another shift of almost the same work

  • I will never not chuckle at the joke :D

  • In theory they could offer the ability in the settings to use the NPU if one is available.Basically the same situation as it was with Raytracing.

  • Technical involvement/assistance: Sure, use whatever tools you have

Artistic: Hm.....Maybe. Tell what it was used for and I can say if I agree with it.

  • The funeral services community liked that.

  • Yes, nuance is important

butI'd argue that demanding the ~customer~ seller fill out a 20 page form on what the AI was used for (and additionally which model) would result in the opposite sentiment for the seller and customer.Theres a line between too little and too much information.

  • Agreed. What does it cost them to make a checkbox and show the value to the customer?

If they fear it, they know that the knowledge will make me think twice on buying it.

  • main-2-v3-final-finalfinal-lastfix

  • You probably could do it with trakt. The plugin supports syncing watched history.

But you'd need to do it for every user individually.(Not tested. But at the time had issues with weird watch status in my jellyfin and trakt seemed to be the reason)

  • Very good uploads. Keep an eye open :)

If you are impatient, you can use their sign up promo to join immediately. But only use money you can loose.

  • Maybe try enabling debug logs inside the container through a config file (if that is possible)
