  • Yeah, I had a feeling the darker one didn't look right. I think the lighter cabinet color differs just enough from the pure-white kitchen cabinets and fridge that it doesn't look like it's another piece of "kitchen" furniture, but rather "room" furniture if that makes sense.

  • Do you use youtube mainly?

Yes, though not through the website or app

    Do you care about clickbait?

I don't often see it as I use DeArrow, but if I do see it, I just move on unless it's a video that interests me.

Did clickbait make you stop seeing some creator?

Kinda? Part of it was just getting tired of their style/growing out of it.

Did you use youtube but clickbait (among other things) made you to stop using it’s platform?

    No, I still use it.

Do you think clickbait is the major of the YouTube’s problems?

I think there are bigger issues than clickbait on YouTube, such as the sex bots in comments and inappropriate ads

Do you see something good in clickbait among the bad things? Like, which ones?

I don't see anything good in clickbait, but it's not something real bad either. To me, it's more of just something that exists and nothing else.

Could we see clickbait as a necessary evil?

It's a subjective opinion and differs between people. I personally don't see it as a "necessary evil", but maybe someone else does.

  • Reminds me of that Top Gear clip with Richard forgetting the abbreviation for America.

  • I created a pacman wrapper script to automate updating my system (Arch BTW), logging what was updated in a sorted directory based on the current week range, as well as the update progress. My Arch system broke after an update, so this will help me narrow down what packages could have broken it if it does break again.

I also have a script to automatically build android APKs from source, sign it with my own key, and copy it to a Syncthing directory. Most useful when creating my own apps.

One last notable one: I created a script to download a file to a hard drive and store it in a directory based on the domain of the URL. I plan to add a recursive mode next so I can download multiple files at once.

I created some aliases and function to simplify certain commands, such as v for nvim, lsal for ls -al, and cn for clear && neofetch.

Overall, I'm happy with what I have created. I doubt I'm the first to make some of these scripts, and I'm sure they're not the best, but they work for my use case.

  • Probably build random structures using nearby objects, Flip random objects upsidedown, cause car crashes for my amusement, and maybe slowly recolor grass bright pink.

  • Stray uses its own language. Your robot friend just translates it for you.

  • KeePassXC (Desktop) and KeePassDX (mobile). Offline, local-only password manager. There's also a Firefox browser extension for it too.

If you need it to sync between devices, Syncthing gets the job done by syncing the DB file.

I don't trust any cloud solutions. You're trusting some random company with your passwords. Data breach is inevitable.

  • Might be something with upstream? Just speculation on my part. Wish they would post some type of update.

  • I didnt know that. Apparently there are formating options for SponsorBlock in yt-dllp directly. I don't know how you would set that up with FreeTube though.

I'm sticking with the plugin since it's as simple as building it and copying it to the scripts directory, and it comes with a simple config.

  • Why?

    Jump
  • Probably the same reason many people use it:

Heard about it from someone/online --> tried it in a VM --> Tried it on real hardware --> Liked it enough to keep it/ditch windows partition if they dual-booted.

In my case, I started with Mint in 2023 and eventually distro-hopped to ArcoLinux (RIP) then Arch (BTW). Trying out Endeavour now as my Arch-Arco install is a mess and I'd like something similar to Arco.

Oh as for the reason why: Sick of Microsoft's shit and didn't want to downgrade from Windows 10 to 11.

  • Read it again. It won't be over if you don't let it be over.

  • Lession learned the hard way. :/

  • God, don't remind me when I fucked up my audio on Arch because I had both pipewire and pulseaudio installed and didn't realize it for a good hour.

  • Send me back to the 90s with the flip phone. Old Nokia with a changeable battery, no malicious firmware that has spyware built in. It's just a phone.

  • Final Fantasy.

Music is good, but the story seems drawn out and repetitive, and a little too "edgy", mainly with Cloud's story.
