Making the fediverse accessible to all with Quiblr!

  • I like the idea. It almost needs to be a crowdsourcing effort.

Users can tag content or something

  • I like that after this was posted, all the comments in this thread got downvoted lol

  • What is Ernest?

  • Wait are you not also a bot?

  • I like this part of lemmy. You can easily toggle whether you want posts/communities from your instance or globally. And I agree that some of the communities are redundant but I've found that it is easy enough to follow similar communities so my feed is all content I like.

  • Agreed! Even a small comment gets the momentum going

  • This is a good start :) thanks for the comment/contribution

  • As in better sorting options?

  • I considered that too. I suppose it could help on top of the head. But how about body hair?

  • Cross-posting to other communities or onto other platforms?

  • I hope that the new "scaled" search helps solve this very issue

  • That's fair. I wonder if anyone has looked into the vote to comment ratio compared to other social media platforms. I'm curious how Lemmy compares

  • Sorry for the slow response! Thanks for including a source. I may try to make this over the weekend!

  • A Christmas classic - Princess Switch 4: Re-swapped Once Again

  • Das ist richtig

  • If anyone likes to explore random communities/posts, I added a "Feeling Lucky" button in the Lemmy web app Quiblr. It's been a useful way to find interesting posts

  • What kind of cheese did you use??

  • I think the struggle is that we still need to build more tools for the fediverse ecosystem. I've been building Lemmy frontends but it's a big lift to make a world class experience for users, moderators, instance owners, etc.

Progress is being made, but I agree that Lemmy was not prepped for the wave of Reddit users.
