I’ll write something here later probably. In the meantime, hi to whoever’s reading this I hope you get a chance to enjoy something kind today :)

  • Being a friend to pigeons is awesome. They’re the cutest, chillest lil birds and there’s something magical about that bond with them. Ignore the haters! 🐦

  • Perhaps self-directed compassion would be a better fitting term?

Empathy is about feeling what others feel, where compassion is usually associated with acts of showing kindness. As another commenter has mentioned, being reminded to be nice to yourself in a situation can be important.

  • And to celebrate the fediverse: fuck fuck shit fuck ass ayyyy macarena 😄

  • That would require me paying attention now, but 14 y.o. me was this way.

Between “it’s none of your business what others think of you” and realizing other people are also pretty much only interested in their own lives on a day-to-day level it’s helped my psyche quite a bit.

Not saying everyone can do that of course, but it’s my own experience at least.

  • Grapeseed oil. Coconut oil is too heavy since my skin is sensitive even though it smells great 😭

  • I appreciate it lol, I’m very careful with my hearing and actually use them as ear protection at concerts and sports events as well!

  • My noise cancelling headphones.

Bose QC35s and I’ve worn them until the ear cups basically fell off, then replaced those for ~$20USD and am still getting daily use out of them.

They have made public life actually livable and music is fantastic with them, plus noisy roommates are no longer as upsetting to be around, lol.

  • Seconding Grover. His adventures are the best!

  • Dictating a text to send (word-for-word) is usually an accessibility thing, or for when you can’t text or call for safety reasons like when driving.

The enabling attachment to fictional characters via AI is dangerous though, I agree.

  • “You are now officially in the C-Suite for SEGA”

  • I love GIMP for what it’s done for the community but I can make a circle in Krita.

  • “The Pomodoro method is so great!”

There is little more terrifying and upsetting than having to switch tasks every 15-30 minutes with alarms.

  • I just started Cryptmaster today and it’s even better than I was anticipating!

It’s charming, wryly funny, and the art style is incredible. It’s as close to a lighthearted D&D session in tone I’ve experienced and I adore it.

Got it in a pick-your-own bundle alongside Meg’s Monster which I’ve yet to play but still excited! Haven’t regretted it yet.

  • It also deserves vitamins + hydration (said with love) don’t forget your water and some hummus w/ your chips 😄

  • This is how we end up with a dog president and honestly I’m okay with that.

  • Drugs or journalism, knowing the current political climate. Godspeed to OP either way - you’re (possibly) fighting the good fight 🫡

  • Depends what it is. A sleeve of Oreos or binging half a pie one night is probably fine.

    Meth? Maybe reconsider.

  • Hovering around 30 and to be honest my immune system has always been made of papier-mâché and butterfly wishes lmao, so I guess no difference.

I did get COVID in the last couple years and never quite properly recovered, but that’s not really related to age.

I try to stay on top of my wiggly joints more to prevent further injury than my teen years gave me, but otherwise am typically fine (by my standards).
