  • An update black screened his system and corrupted his time shift backups. So he gave Linux Mint a shot and has been using it for several weeks.

  • He has switched to Linux Mint instead

  • Have you tried different version of proton, proton GE or even wine?

    I have only had good luck with using wine with the ea app on my desktop PC.

  • Sounds like Linux Mint would be a good start for you

  • Yes, you install it on the desktop with protonup

  • Are your games installed on an NTFS formatted drive? Steam on Linux generally doesn’t play nice with NTFS.

  • Might have to right click and make sure it’s executable, then double click it to install.

  • Try spamming the space bar on startup and choosing an older kernel

  • Pop Os uses SystemD and not GRUB

  • Can’t seem to work that out on mobile
