  • Yes, how you socialize and how much it drains you are affected by whether or not you’re autistic and/or ADHD.

People who are naturally outgoing but also autistic/ADHD have the same drive to go out and interact with people, but due to differences in how they act/perceive the world wind up much more drained from the experience (either from sensory overstimulation or anxiety from people being unpredictable). This often leads to seeking out socialization less, even though they are just as desperate for it as anyone else who is naturally more extroverted.

And instead of typing up a paragraph every time they want to talk about it, they say introverted extrovert.

  • I wasn’t debating anything? I was agreeing with the comment I replied to. I even specified that I don’t blame people who don’t realize they’re reposting AI content.

I’m autistic and burnt out as shit right now, so sorry if I’m missing something that seems obvious to you.

  • Oops, I guess I was a little too spicy. I agree, we don’t need AI, and using the tools of billionaires instead of real art by human artists is at best misguided and at worst actively harming the people you purportedly want to help.

I don’t blame people for reposting it when they don’t realize it’s AI, it can be hard to tell.

  • I have a friend (my age) whose dad was about your age when she was born. He did die when she was fairly young, under 30. But my parents had me young, and I lost one of them only a few years after my friend’s dad died, despite being decades younger. You can never guarantee you’re going to be there ‘long enough’ for your kid, no matter what age you have them at.

  • Mindlessly shoving a paywall on every page on the site is both lazy and indicative of their priorities. Nobody has to do it purposefully for it to still be shitty and revealing.

  • I’m not saying “ding dong the witch is dead” wasn’t a perfect capture of the sentiment, but it’s also really hard to improve on “Lizzie’s in a box” for the sheer ability to send the most insufferable people on the planet into a frothing rage.

  • Has anyone ever said that so much depends on you?

(Assuming your display name is a reference to the poem)

  • But I might want to not use this doctor for my yearly specialty visits for the first time in over a decade!

  • Since its 25th anniversary of its western release just passed and it’s on my mind, Princess Mononoke is a good one. It’s bloody but tasteful.

  • Alternatively, do read it if you’re having trouble cutting back on fast food spending!

  • I saw a guy doing this recently (not to a barista, but someone that worked with the public) and the only thing that kept me from losing my mind on him was knowing there was no way the worker wanted to deal with him AND me blowing up at him. He eventually just left, but it was maddening to witness.

Also, IME upper middle and upper class people are about 1000% more likely to do this than anyone else. This douche sounded like the frattiest frat bro to ever frat.

  • On lemmy, a ban can be a few different things:

    1. Banned from the instance your account is on. This means you have to make a new account, usually on a different instance.
    2. Banned from a different instance than the one your account is on. This means you get banned from communities you’ve participated in on that instance, and that instance will no longer federate with your account. You might participate in new communities on that instance, and people ~not on that instance~ on your instance will see your comments, but people on the instance you were banned from and other instances won’t see them. From the perspective of that instance you don’t exist anymore.
    3. Not banned from any instances, but banned from individual communities. You can’t post in that specific community but can still interact with the instance that community is on.

Like someone else said, clear as mud, lol.

  • I always assumed they were just getting into it, assuming you aren’t talking about expressions caused by just playing the instrument in general (like with brass and wind instruments).

  • Bro, it’s not a person and it doesn’t think. This is embarrassing for you. This is like thinking there are little people in the TV.

  • Using this as a place to infodump because I just learned it: you know how haikus follow a 5-7-5 syllable pattern? For corridos every line is 8 syllables.

    The more you know 🌈⭐️

  • Yeah, it’s based on knowing the difference between a tool and a human being 👍

  • The plagiarism machine vomits out the visual equivalent of text prediction. It isn’t an artist any more than the text prediction on your phone is an author if you hit the next predicted word enough times, people are artists and authors. Image generation is at best a Xerox machine.

  • Art is made by artists, who are human, and your argument is the fallacy fallacy.

  • If typing a prompt into a plagiarism machine makes you an artist, why doesn’t paying a real human to make art for you also make you an artist?

If someone said they were the artist of something but it turns out they just paid someone else to do it, would you think they were a talentless jackass or an artist?
