  • I'd be with you if you switched hate for dislike. If you really hate your job at any point, it's time to look elsewhere. You wouldn't stay with a person you hate, or do a hobby you hate, or listen to music you hate.

  • You have to enjoy your job to a certain extent or you'll grow to hate it. I like my job - I get paid well, have plenty of holidays, they are flexible, there's bonuses, annual raises, and a good pension.

Do I enjoy the work? Enjoy is a strong word. There's a thousand other things I'd rather be doing, but I'm good at it, it's technically demanding, and the people I work with are predominantly nice.

As a caveat, I worked a dozen other jobs that were full of dicks, poorly run, zero prospects etc for 15 years before landing a good job. It's a long slog, but if you really don't enjoy it I'd aim to move to something you do enjoy or at least are interested in. It'll benefit your wellbeing.

  • Way to generalise. Your attitude is probably a downer for everyone.

  • 5 to 6.

    Would like 10 to 12.

  • If I'm going anywhere, I'm bringing food. No one is losing out. I'm not buying your overpriced crap just because it's there.

  • Never heard anyone say that.

  • What do you mean? Irregular skin stuff doesn't necessarily signify cancer. It could be a skin tag or a mole or any number of innocuous things. The consensus of strangers is not your best bet.

  • Sounds like a dick, but my advice remains the same. Not worth your time or worry.

  • Move on with your life and don't engage.

  • Best is arbitrary. You can measure that in a number of obscure ways to suit your views. You basically mean the ones you like the most.

  • Is it really an insult? I don't really care that there are compilation albums of bands or artists I like if it means more people might listen to them. Just because they call it best of doesn't mean it has to align with my ranking.

  • What do you mean by retirements aren't replaced. How do they fill those positions? If your manager or the head finance guy or chief of compliance or the person who does payroll retires, they have to be replaced.

  • You'll clearly get the best answer from searching online rather than asking here.

  • My own novel without doubt. I visualised it as a movie when I was writing it, and I know exactly how it should look.

  • You're in the wrong part of the USHTS. There are rules called the GRI (General Rules of interpretation) that tell you how to use it, which are much too long-winded to go into. The section you showed is for plastic bags so doesn't apply. The one I suggested is, as far as I know, correct. The USHTS changes every few months based on Trump's current mood.

  • Go on the USHTS website and search for handbags. You will be able to see a breakdown of handbag types, materials, etc. check the tariff percentage listed against the hs code that applies to yours. Also check if there is a de minimis exception.

A leather handbag will be in heading 4202 and likely has a 35% tariff, although I've heard of people being charged wildly different percentages, from 9 to 65.

  • I'm 43, and it's still cannabis (medical prescription) and alcohol. And LSD if available.

I haven't ever taken an Alka Seltzer. Not even sure what they do.
