  • I do have uBlock origin installed. I wouldn't get anywhere near the Internet without it (haven't seen an add in years). But I really aware of the possibility of using uBlock for Paywall bypassing. Thanks for the tip!

  • Oh OK, thanks for the clarification. I'll try to enable the option you suggest. Thanks for the tip!

  • Ah thanks, now I understand the other message I read about uBlock. I tried disabling uBlock for that particular website to get the Bypass Paywall add-on to work but it never did. Someone suggested to install Bypass Paywall Clean d, and that worked out of the box

  • Wait, I didn't know that. You're saying uBlock Origin can also bypass paywalls? :o

EDIT: nevermind I know what you meant now. I tried disabling uBlock for that website but it still didn't work. Bypass Paywall Clean d did the job

  • TIL... Thanks for the info. And for the video! Definitely going to watch it later.

  • That was fascinating. I've always wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine and now I'm sold

  • Thanks!

  • I'm just posting for the future generations

  • Thanks! That worked out of the box

  • Thanks. Did you install this yourself? The readme says to download the xpi file, but there are two available, one version ends with 'custom'. Do you know what's the difference?

  • Shouldn't it be the other way around? Emo is just city country

  • Came here to support plenny shakes as well. And their bars are amazing too

  • I'd love to see Socrates as modern day politician

  • Still, I think you're misundernderstaing what anarchy is. It is not the absence of people in positions of governance. It is the rejection of unwarranted/unjustified power positions. In that sense, if the community feels that a mod is something they want to, as other people have commented, keep the place clean, and as long as the mod can justify their work and what they do to the community, that is perfectly compatible with anarchism

  • I use MX, formerly know as Mepis. Super stable and kept up to date. It used to be Debian based and they still use some Debian repos but it's largely independent now

  • I get most of my recommendations via Diaspora and Mastodon (2 social networks that are part of the fediverse). They allow you to follow hashtags, so I just follow the hashtags of the music I'm interested and see people's posts that are tagged with them

  • I'll take a review written from the heart anytime over one that claims objectivity. I love the movie and I really enjoyed reading this. Thanks!

  • Same here. I'm on Kbin so you'll have to replace all instances of Lemmy with Kbin to make sense of some answers
