  • Her opinions are old school mainstream. She's against the culture shift and if she existed decades ago, she's be more openly racist rather then transphobic.

  • I pissed off a lot of, supposedly left leaning, comic book fans when I told them I thought Tony Stark had a good point that the super heroes in the MCU needed to be regulated. They were doing too much investigating and acting on their own without any oversight to not make people nervous. Same with Justice League Unlimited.

At least with Superman(2025), the hero's intervention in world affairs was just a scaled up Bystander Effect.

  • I knew who he was, but just grouped him together with all the other manosphere shitspinners.

  • That's already happened. It happened a long time ago.

  • One Nazi killed another Nazi. We're down not one, but two Nazis.

  • Yes, just historically.

  • Aren't blocks visible on reddit though? It's been a while since I used it, so maybe I forgot. At the very least, it was considered bad form there outside of direct harassment. I think I was only stalked and harassed once though reddit comments and I just called them out on it to end it.

  • The mods of the sub are the ones to decide who gets blocked though. Not the person you're auguring with, unless you're arguing with is a mod.

  • Bad actors already do that.

  • I never had a twitter account, but made a bsky account just to support people moving away from there even though I'd them they move to mastodon.

Anyway, I saw a post claiming a certain fetish term was now forbidden because it was being used a slur. I commented that I've only ever heard it used to refer to a real person when the person in question was using it to describe themselves. I got some positive responses, but the ended up getting blocked from replying when they disagreed with me. Can 3rd parties see blocks or did it just look like I chickened out?

I didn't care for that and I think these little "features" of twitter that people have gotten use to has twisted how to interact with other people. On reddit or lemmy, the topic is the main focus and the people managing the topic should be the only ones who control what gets said there. With twitter and bsky, the opening post is the main focus and they get control of what gets said. I prefer the former over that latter.

  • I mean, yeah. Not even a joke.

  • Maybe the screen process wasn't as good when mother had to look. Small rocks are just going to be something that gets picked up occasionally if they're being machine harvested.

  • I didn't hate the movie, but it shouldn't have been the middle part of a trilogy that he didn't have control over.

  • USB chargers.

"Dongles" are wire to wire USB adapters for computers. Sound "cards", Ethernet adapters, video adapters.

  • It was pretty bad and all the problems were changes from the comic. The comic had the timetable for everything much more believable and went into the benefits of surrogates.

  • Surrogates was a terrible movie.

  • It's one of those status things. They don't have to take the rings off because they're wealthy. Fair skin or white cloths meant you didn't do manual manual outside. Nowadays, tan skin means you have enough downtime to either go to the beach or tanning salon.
