Boycott list for mod abuse and power trips: lemmy.ml, blahaj.zone | Warning list: lemmy.ca

  • RAM

  • 16GB RAM on windows is more than enough

And pretty sure 4GB on linux sucks

  • I fear that Lemmy will not scale properly, popularity will exponentially increase the load. It’s basically actions multiplied by instances

  • Somehow I never thought of it. I guess I often lay on my side

  • It's a pain as the finger placement is really important. I fail most of the time and frankly I'm too lazy to change my grip to use two fingers

  • I literally do not read any reply. I also delete most of my comments after a little bit.

This defeats a lot of purpose of lemmy

  • Oh that's nice

It's been like that since a couple of major android versions I believe so yeah, and google not really caring for AOSP doesn't really give me a lot of hope

  • I believe Meta is worse than google with private data

At least Google makes something good out of it, sometimes, maybe

Meta and amazon don't really bring us anything good

  • True, that's what I often do

  • Sometimes it doesn't pick up some things, I believe it might also be related to the fact that the instance I'm on is recent, but it has previously allowed me to find some nice things so yeah, that's that

  • Defederate auto corrected to federate

    Fixed it

  • Sure but some instances like to defederate, so you get cut off from the rest

  • Thanks

Already knew it and community names aren't straightforward sometimes, so I was looking for somewhere to ask people

  • Thanks

  • MSCI World team here

  • Depends on the topic

  • The "Video Lite" app has an ad on start, and then no ads for the YouTube player, if you're okay with closed source

    I believe it offers casting

  • I used side loaded modified YouTube apps, kind of the iOS revanced versions, if that can interest you
