  • I have pixel and it does that.

  • The things that annoy us are things we are not used to. There are hundreds of things in your life that are equally annoying but since they have always been that way you don't notice them. That's why babies are the way they are. Everything us new and annoying.

I had the same instinct to tear them off but I told myself to not be a toddler and just got used to it within a week.

  • My general impression is that India are really good at scientific innovation and so on but only because the incredible inequality allows India to channel its resources so that it can be on par with other countries a fraction it's size.

If they did the work required to lift the poor regions out of poverty, and sometimes just straight up feudalism, the country would become a proper superpower with far reaching cultural impact but right now India seem to slide further into Hindu nationalism so now it's more of a worry for everyone else if India became another dictatorship like china.

  • I stand corrected. If it indexed more services it would have been the best option.

  • This seems to be the best solution. It lets you select country and it even has all the local apps indexed.

Searching by language was locked behind a subscription which infuriated me but I guess subscribing to a service so that you can know what service you should subscribe to seems about right for 2024.

  • Very light weight solution but doesn't seem to allow for selecting country so it's probably america-centric.

  • Unfortunately they only seem to service English speaking countries and I am not in any of those. I guess they did smaller scope for better accuracy.

  • Thats what I do when I know what I want to watch but I don't always know what I want, especially when trying to agree with a bunch of other people with different taste.

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

How do you know what a streaming service have available if all of them need you to subscribe before showing you.

  • Det mesta Anders Lundin har gjort har åldrats ganska väl. Jag tror att han har bäst känsla för barnprogram bland dom som gjort programmet.

  • Wow, this unlocked memories I didn't know I had. I was the core audience when this aired the first time. The CGI greenscreen man was weird and I did not remember it until right now. The thing that had the biggest impact for me was probably the puppets because it actually taught me how thermodynamics works. The bear theater at the end is probably the most famous guy on the show that made tons of other children televisions. He is like a core part of any millennials childhood.

  • 1d6 in piercing damage but hit to the guts is probably a crit so 2d6. If you are lucky you will just be very injured. If you are unlucky you will go down and start doing death saving throws.

  • The biggest problem with growing a beard is that it only looks good after a certain amount of time. When people grow beards it's usually when they are on vacation because it is nice not having to shave and you dont have to look professional with a crazy half grown beard.

A couple of years ago the word took an extended vacation and a lot of people took the opportunity to grow a beard.

  • I unironically think I respect them more than you do. If I had to chose between a uninterested moron and whatever smug energy you have, I would go with the moron.

  • You are literally one of those guys. All your replies in this thread is you being that guy.

  • I described a behaviour and two qualities. I said that people with the behaviour often have these two qualities. I then said I dont respect people with that behaviour.

There are a lot if people that are stupid but still fun and interesting people. They have skills that I don't have and perspectives that I don't have. They have found ways to interact with the world that works with their shortcomings. I respect them.

Some stupid people decide to hide their stupidity by spending a lot of time arguing that they shouldn't have to elaborate on their opinion and we should treat all opinions the same without scrutiny. They dont grow, they dont learn, they make their own shortcomings other peoples problem. I dont respect them.

  • I also dont respect people that start comments with a joker laugh.

  • People that spend energy on arguing their right to have opinions rather than defending the opinion are deeply uninteresting and often stupid people that I don't not respect in any capacity.

  • Yes. Nice chocolate didnt have a map because they were custom made and had people experimenting on site. It's very rare to do it that way now because most chocolate is factory made and require ingredients breakdowns.

  • Is the plan that you are going to use that nail scissor as your main household scissor? When you buy something in a thick blister pack your plan is to awkwardly chew trough the plastic with a tiny and slightly curved nail scissor?

  • Selfhosted @lemmy.world

I want to set up a selfhosted RSS reader but feel a bit lost

  • Ask Lemmy @lemmy.world

how close to the table edge is it socially acceptable to place a full glass of water?
