Hello! That's my main mbin account, my alt is @Fitik, I also have a furry/personal account at @fitik

I'm just a regular person from Israel🇮🇱, a queer, and a #Fediverse enthusiast! I'm a liberal

I don't post much stuff, but when I do I usually post about #tech because I've mostly given up on trying to argue politics on there

  • I don't think it's something limited to Fedi, but internet in general. The whole social media "algorithm" promotes such posts, an edgy extreme post filled with hate will get more reactions and upvotes, than a "lame" conventional opinion, so you're more likely to see it. I am not sure how to even fix it, I think it's one of the fundamental problems if the internet, but this is how it is

  • Interesting, for me it's the opposite, I pretty much exclusively use "Subscribed" feed and almost never go to "All", because a lot of it is just stuff I don't care about

  • @[email protected] There's this Lemmy post on [email protected] listing generic well-federated instances, but if you don't care about the ability to follow other PeerTube channels from it, I'm pretty sure you can use pretty much any instance and it doesn't really matter.

    Ironically my CherryPick instance used to have it's own Peertube instance, but they've closed it sadly

  • I'm gen Z, pretty much all Zoomers I chat with use slang (and part of it comes from AAVE, this is just how slang develops, it often comes from marginalized groups), I can't believe some people actually think this is enough to cancel someone for

    If a person would write it somewhere other than Fedi, people would probably just assume that you're joking or making fun of a term cultural appropriation, but oh well
