He was just a Fledditor. Living in a Lemmy woooorld.

  • Well, hard water means it could be Ca+2 or Mg+2 ions, but it doesn't have to be. Any metal or mineral in a "high" concentration (often as a dissolved salt) would make water hard. e.g. Salt water is hard compared to tap standards.

The water for the above user certainly could have been corrosive, or an allergic reaction could be the explanation. With a rural, rock ravine environment, any number of minerals could be in the water. You're also more likely to get other contaminants like toxins in water not properly tested and treated.

  • Got it. Like Rattatouie Rat said, "change is nature, dad."

  • It's a surprise tool that will help us later.

  • Already did. Didn't see the wave coming. It definitely made me flat and I lost my sunglasses.

  • I expected most volcanic gasses (and geysers) to be largely sulfuric. After looking it up, I have to agree. The Earth is full of dissolved gasses making it not flat.

  • Since I am a pedant, I would agree with you after looking up volcanic gas composition. I love how we can get to the smart stuff via dumb memes.

  • Very true, and although my specialty is not geology, I'm fairly confident the magma is also not carbonated.

  • There was a Windows tablet I bought for PDFs only. It ran some terrible Windows 8 lite version. That would easily be the worst Linux distro.

  • No, current year politics says that ernestly using universal symbolism of white supremacists makes you a white supremacist.

In case you are being serious: He can have disdain for non-whites and disdain for the poor, but especially disdain for the poor non-whites while still believing in white supremacy. He sees employees as expenses and seeks a larger profit margin by unethical means.

  • Yeah. You never know which type of American you have, but I'd guess the correlation of being on Lemmy is more likely someone that did not vote for fascism. I definitely understand citizens of other countries being bitter and/or upset.

  • I give you my full permission, as an installation wizard, to be a human being and interract with your community.

  • Thanks for the transparency. As I've stated in other comments, I am American and I typically have better interactions here than on other social media sites. I really like seeing which community the individual is from and seeing the upvote/downvote ratio. If there is baseless criticism, most of the time it is either dropped when I ask them for more detail, or an actual discussion springs out of it. Finally, I'm a big fan of sh.itjust.works and happy to be here. I wouldn't have any judgement to give; the internet is harder to tolerate everywhere as more users become bitter and/or hateful.

  • Cheers, I got you bro.

  • ??? 4 and 5 are not connected

  • I have a suspicion that Catholics use wine.

  • Sounds like conservatism in the US needs to be relabeled as regressivism.

  • Fair, I'm just curious why ShaggySnacks mentioned the status quo thing when personal freedoms are being encroached on and revoked.

  • I thought liberalism literrally meant that personal freedoms are the most important thing to that person and the belief is the government should not restrict them and needs to actively protect them.
