  • Imagine a bunch of random and different birds in one flock...

  • Most have been true at some point. They all (most) have a reference to something that once made perfect sense.

For example: Pot calling the kettle black. Most kettles were black at one era in time. Now they can be different colors.

But here are some [more] modern ones:

'A 90s one: all that and a bag of chips' a slang saying originating in the nineties. however it can be classified as "true" since many people would get a free bag of chips with their meal and it was "sweet" or "cool" to get that hence someone who is all that and a bag of chips is "cool" or "sweet" in the sense that "sweet" is also a synonym for cool. The true origins being popularized by Public Enemy as a 'way to describe meals that black people used to eat' (Professor Griff

'The internet is dead' said when we get the nostalgic shock of an era no longer the golden age of internet. And it is true, many things that were great about old internet are now gone or modernized into a streamlined mess of paywalls and adblock-blockers. This one was explained to me at one point on YouTube.

They are called idioms in a sense because some of us can't help but feel uneducated when we cannot figure out what they mean or why that phrase would come to mean what it does. But it sure does make the past a bit more interesting. This last part is just a joke. I once heard a doctor explain what idiopathic meant to him as he stated "he feels like an idiot because he cannot find the out what the cause of something was" But Idiom means a phrase unique to language.

    Edits: clarity and missing information.

  • I think my life is stochastic enough. I need more predictability.

  • No, I punched walls when I was a kid for ~fun~ anger. But it is understandable for a young person to be rebellious and malicious as we almost all were. There are different levels. the main thing is looking back and realizing it was wrong and wanting to change. There are no bad people in this world, there are just people who do bad things.

  • No, it means you are responsible enough to look back and realize what you want to change in life. A bad person wouldn't understand that they did anything wrong. Also, we've all did mischievous things when we were young .

  • They are just bad at it. They try but they must not have enough research plus they are a corporation so they just care about making money. Most of the new stuff sequels and all are trash. I liked the lion king CGI version and the CGI in Avatar, but haven't seen the second one yet, so I can't judge. I like what they are doing in Marvel. That is what appeals. If they redo every 2D cartoon movie growing up into decent CGI and to the T of the story, we might have a good set of newer movies. That is how they can appeal. The other new stuff not so much. They have a lot of improving to do, there.

  • Why would Disney appeal to an older audience? Well, they do since they bought all that other stuff(Fox, Marvel, NatGeo, etc) they have no reason to with their animated ones. The ones they make now continue to be the same themes, generally. But with live action remakes they are trying to speak to both young and older audiences and it doesn't work as well. They should stick with the CGI remakes.

  • Can't, I have cats that like to drink it. I still do the task I just don't like doing them after I eat, I don't want to smell food anymore, lol. I do them at the end of the day. I rinse them though.

  • I liked when it was Hank Green.

  • I agree with the first part of the video. Butt is not legs. It was very interesting and I am glad that part did not make me angry, lol. Anatomy.

In short: humans need butts (fatter cheeks) more than other animals that run on four legs due to the impact of running and that it absorbs the force allowing us to run long distances for more time without getting too tired. I.e. racing.

Can't speak for the rest as it was 50 mins. But worth the save for later, it's Sci-show!

  • Dishes after a good meal. Any other time I don't mind but after I eat a good meal I want to relax.

  • IRL 'among us' game would be wild.

  • In the US, 988 has a warm line. They get a bad rap but if you call, wait and ask for the warm line during the day, they will call back within 48 to 72 hours to talk about anything for a half hour. For when you are not in a crisis, but still need to talk. If you ever are, look up crisis numbers in your area.

  • Yea, it might be real; it might be something else. We will. Never know.

  • Asymmetry.

  • That was funny

  • The pros don't outweigh the cons. Because the cost and the fact that the inconvenience of a special design is harder to stack vertically that well, unless you consider a hexagonal pattern of arrays.

  • I keep mine on 64F room temp and hover around that. I use fans in the heat and portable heaters in the cold. But I heard keep it just below 70 in the winter and just above 70 in the summer to have a better bill.
