  • No, that's how Mamdani gets federal AIDS. Totally different.

  • I had to rent a car from Enterprise during a mild snowstorm.

I picked it up the night before and brought it home (work paid for the rental, I didn't want to put miles on my car).

They had filled up the wiper fluid with water, so my wipers wouldn't work. Frozen solid.

Swung by the rental agency on the way to my trip to complain and swap out the car.

Next car was fine for like 30 minutes but then it stopped working again. Frozen solid.

I guess some idiot decided to top up all the cars with water. Which doesn't work so well in the wintertime.

ETA: for those who don't know driving in the snow...you often need wiper fluid. Especially when the road has a mist of salty, sandy water on it from melted snow + sand/salt trucks.

  • My chickens do this too. Its called a dust bath. Its an integral part of their self-care routine.

This one's in dirt right now but most of them really love my kids sandbox if I let them out of their area. They treat it like a spa. Good thing my kids are too big for a sandbox now.

She was really in it though...stretching out those feathers and getting it in the little crevices. Rolling around. Just having a grand old time.

  • Op, I may be misunderstanding. Are you saying the blog owner used your quote in the article, or are you saying a botted comment used your name and content?

The former is fair use, the latter is outrageous.

There is of course a third possibility, and that is that you should check your Carbon Monoxide detectors.

  • Mine.

    I should state that I'm not a programmer. I'm a network engineer.

I work for a space (among other things) contractor, and there are days I feel like I'm mission control for Apollo 13.

  • Not OP, but I have been meaning to talk to my Ubuntu admin about Intune on his systems so we can use conditional access on them.

With how difficult it had been to get macs setup, I have a feeling Edge will be the only way it works.

So in enterprise situations....I'd say "Plausible".

Personally I mostly use Firefox on Linux, but Proxmox gui doesn't handle that so well...so for that I have an App-isized Ungoogled Chromium window.

  • This isn't a questions forum, it's a thoughts forum.

Shower questions would be either NoStupidQuestions or AskAPlumber.

  • I'm aware, and wanted to make mention of it being done by existing mods "as a prank", but still...he was quite protective of those subs, too.

It really wasn't until they were ramping up for IPO that they did anything about them.

  • He is the literal president, in large part, because of reddit. Including reddit giving left-wing long-term accounts a really good reason to stop using their site months before the 2024 elections.

  • Considering its huge reach and userbase, I'd be pretty concerned if the founders were in the whole Epstein circle, and Reddit's overall impact in world politics.

You'd be a fool not to recognize the site size and influence.

In light of recent events, I'm really starting to wonder about Reddit, /u/MaxwellHill, and Aaron...

  • Yeah I script more than anything...python, bash, powershell, etc.

Only terrible code I inherit is the stuff I wrote >=3 months ago. I'll keep saying that three months from now, too.

  • Fork the repo.

Ask an LLM to rename all the variables and add comments and docstrings. Give it your style guide (assuming you have one).

Ask another LLM to check their work.

    Done.

Disclaimer: I'm not a programmer, I'm a network engineer who dabbles in automation and scripting. But it seems to me that grunt work like this is what LLMs are really good for.

Also I only use short variable names inside of loops (for i in iterable...). Is that not how it should be done?

  • The town next to me has a very large cemetery, but nobody living in my town is allowed to be buried there.

  • I see you don't have Gas Service.

  • Do it and I destroy your backend.

Have you dropping tables like you're Mankind in 1999.

  • You ever read the three little pigs, from the perspective of the wolf?

The Bible is one side of a story.

  • Back to the Future 2.

  • Kids think whatever they're exposed to.

Neither of my kids use their tablets anymore after having/getting access to a laptop. They were a little confused, at first, since the town uses touchscreen Chromebooks for K-1, but they got used to it, since none of my laptops have a touchscreen. Now they view touchscreens as being for babies. Like that kid in BTTF2 with the lightgun..."You mean you have to use your hands?"
