  • One time I said AI porn was unethical (because it is) and people here thought I was calling for a ban on all porn. At no point did I say that porn was unethical as a rule, and if I did believe that I wouldn't have mentioned AI at all.

  • I didn't say anything about communists. I said I missed being able to interact with people who shared my hobbies. I just want to ~grill~ talk about cartoons and video games.

    Also, I was sold on Lemmy because they told me it was an user owned alternative to reddit, which was going tits up at the time. "It's a communist website." Is not what they told me to get me over here.

  • Shortly before the flex tape video, he announced he was going to appear in a debate with another Youtuber named Destiny. In this debate, he claimed that "Rich blacks commit more crimes than even the poorest of whites" (direct quote, I shit you not), and that Donald Trump had never said anything racist. It was completely out of left field and shocked pretty much everyone.

    My theory is kind of a joke, but I seriously have trouble believing that these are the same person. It was so sudden and so random that I want to believe that there is some other explanation as to why it did. Up until this point, Jontron had stayed fairly apolitical. On the very rare occasion he'd share an opinion on Game Grumps, it would be the most milquetoast moderate thing you've ever heard. To jump from that to retweeting actual Nazis for praising him for saying what they believe feels completely insane. It's easier to accept that there is some sort of sussy imposter imitating him than to believe this just happened.

    Turning the serious off for a second, I think that if anyone knows the truth, it would have to be Arin. I don't think Danny was involved. He might just be blissfully ignorant.

  • Take a look at a population density map of the US. A lot of the places that don't light up are agricultural. If for some reason you have never seen a real farm before and always wanted to then by all means come on by, but we call them "flyover states" for a reason. All the cool tourist destinations are in the glowy bits.

    I assume you were asking for tourist reasons anyway. If you were just asking for curiosity sake, it depends where you live. I live in the rural part of Illinois and it only takes 15 - 20 minutes to get to a supermarket by car, but walking there is completely out of the question. Especially with the hills. Oh God, my feet hurt just thinking about it.
