    In Zen mode, you can turn off gravity [1.1][3] which is effectively pausing imo, or, you could just exit Zen (bound to Esc for me), which saves its state, and then you can just return to Zen and pick up where you left off [1.1][2].

  • Are you okay with a self-hosted solution? If so, you could, for example, self-host FreshRSS [1], and then use it to scrape a feed using XPath [2]. I can elaborate further on the method if you are interested.
