"(...)Just like Lemmy won’t support Place objects, I’m not sure if any other platform will ever support Page objects, because Pages are much bigger in scope than anything most Fediverse applications ever deal with."

Article or Page objects are supported not only by Lemmy and /kbin (and Mastodon, but as link). It is a default object type on WriteFreely, can be used on WordPress, and is compatible with Friendica. Hometown (a Mastodon fork) also renders Pages and Articles in their entirety.

  • My computer's hard drive began to be less-than-reliable. And only Linux can be ran from the USB drive. I have got MX Linux, and save changes, updates etc. by remastering the image.

  • MX does not use systemd by default

  • System Settings → Appearance → Cursor Theme → Configure Launch Feedback

  • KDE does exactly like that(I am using MX Linux)

  • What chmod step?

When I clicked on new app image, the OS told me, that program /name of app/ will be launched, I clicked "Continue" and it runs! No meddling with "chmod" or anything like that.

  • (...)because the people who came here wanted faster and more effective moderation against hate speech

Interesting, as Lemmy (especially lemmy.ml) was created actually for the opposite reason - less "censorship" (of developers' Communist, "Marxist-Leninist" views). That's how e.g. mod logs came up. And Beehaw (one of Lemmy instances) has complained about lack of moderation instruments. And the migration from Reddit was unlike that from Twitter. Spez ruined Reddit for anyone, Musk more for left wing and minorities.Rightwingers more likely to return to current Reddit? I am seeing no clue to this.

  • There was a list of subreddits, which participated in 12 VII blackout. I tried to make list of equivalents of these on Fediverse - to make switch to Lemmy/kbin easier.

  • Lugaru - fighting game, but with animals and unique combat mechanics

  • /kbin

All Lemmy threads, combined with toots from Mastodon. And more to come.

  • Heard about Diaspora around 2010s. Knew Mastodon probably before 2022 (when there were only two Polish instances, 101010.pl and a left-wing one, remade later into more mainstream pol.social), @Vivaldi brought me here as they integrated Mastodon with their web browser. However, @74 is actually my first fedi account. Learnt about /kbin and made an account there in 2023, when it consisted only of 2 Polish servers, karab.in (flagship) and another one. My account here, on kbin.social exists since 8 of May 2023.

  • Replaced an inactive .ml community with this, thanks!
