Just enough money to buy fixxer uppers but not enough energy or money to get them properly fixed, it's kind of like the sam vimes boot theory of economics or some such, my brother really didn't expect to have the cheap trucks he bought to fix within a year but then he has no motivation after work to fix work on them and too much pride or not enough money to go to a shop

But it was those eyes that got me. His expressive cartoon eyes pulsed with
a terror about to boil over into madness. Tears streaked his face, sweat beaded
his forehead. Those eyes pleaded with me, looked right into me and screamed for
mercy. Begged to be put out of his misery. Those eyes told a story I didn’t want
to hear. It was a perfect cartoon rendering, not just of a man eating himself, but
of a man being forced to eat himself.
If we aren't going based on what is naturally available which would be a variety of different berries but no fruit plus some trout and venison then it would probably be something simple like hamburgers and a screamer(a slushy with soft serve ice cream at the top and bottom mixed in like a swirl
Ya I've seen those but I felt like this would be a better alternative to scully always being right and nothing really fun happening, I guess I'd rather have supernatural + CSI instead of scooby doo + CSI, not sure if CSI is the best example but the only other cop show I could think of was law and order
I feel that any sufficiently understood form of the supernatural would just folded into science, it would be cool to see a show with a hybrid character like scully that is still a scientific and skeptic minded person that can ratle off the sub species of gnomes but knows that they where chased out of the reagon centuries ago and there haven't been any reports of them in the neighbouring regions that couldn't be explained away, while yes gnomes exist it turns out it was a serial killer using folk tales to throw off the investigation
I guess the short way to put it is there's no reason things need to be mundane to be logically explored with scientific methods
