Full time Midwestern Cat Rancher. Part time Network Engineer (Have to pay for the ranch).

  • I'm on my third playthrough. I haven't added mods yet, but that's because I'm trying to get all of the achievements. Not sure if I will or not though.

  • Confusion is a natural part of life. I'm usually confused.

  • Luckily they are not interested in the bread.

  • Because I'm the problem?

  • Oof, I have had to have this done. The upside is umm.. you have medical care? Yeah, sorry this sucks and there's no fun reason to get it done.

  • It's a bit obscure. Have you ever heard of bread?

  • I don't remember where I found the recipe. And over the years I have modified it a little bit. Traditional Jamaican Red Bean Soup does not have Hominy in it. But we love hominy. We use habaneros since we can't find Scotch bonnets around here. There are more authentic recipes online I'm sure.

    Jamaican Red pea soup

4 cups of water 1 can of coconut milk 3 cans of dark red kidney beans drained 1 can of Hominy drained 2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon black pepper (ground) 1 tablespoon of dried thyme 1 regular onions finely chopped 2 green onions finely chopped 2 carrots finely chopped 1 hot pepper finely chopped (ideally scotch bonnet) 1/2 lb potatoes chopped 1/2 lb yam chopped

Flour, water and a pinch of salt to make dough for spinners

    1. If you are using fresh, dried kidney beans then soak them in water overnight. Place the beans (including the water they were stored / soaked in) in a large saucepan and add the water. If you are using meat then add the meat at this stage too. Let simmer for one hour.
    2. Chop the hot pepper, potatoes, onions, scallion, yam and carrots in to small pieces.
    3. Mix flour and a pinch of salt with water until it has the consistency of dough. Pinch off a small amount of the dough and roll it in your hands to make a "spinner". Add the spinner to the pot, repeat until you run out of dough. 4)Add the rest of the ingredients. Let simmer for one more hour.
    4. Serve in a bowl with some hardo bread on a side-plate

  • I got a baguette peel. It's essentially just a small board for moving baguettes. Small ones for home baking are fairly inexpensive. If you don't want to invest in a wooden one, you can make one out of cardboard.

  • You don't need a diet with variety so much as you need a balanced diet. I would attempt to find foods in each category that you need that you are comfortable with and stick with those. Maybe something like Chicken, rice, vegetable. As long as you can work out a meal plan to cover your nutritional needs, you should not have to deviate from your plan.
