You still need a critical mass of followers with the right sentiment. The ground needs to be fertile. It's just not there right now, and those that were radicalized in the last 10 years, they radicalized on the side of fascism. Sacrificing yourself for acts of resistance right now would be purely a symbolic gesture, you'll be left hung out to dry. Just give it time. But if you want to pull a Luigi I'll be the last one to stop you.
I've been radicalized decades ago since I was a teenager. I don't need more evidence, I'm exhausted, I don't even feel like fighting. Not when the people don't deserve our sacrifice. Let's focus on protecting ourselves, if a critical mass begins to wake up then we can start to move in the direction of resistance.
Yeah, having dealt with it in Argentina I had an anti imperialist sentiment against the US when I first moved here as a teenager. I always thought the US deserves to be interfered with the same way they did to so many countries in the world. I eventually grew out of it after this place became my home and am very distressed to see what is happening now. However, I know that 15 year old me would be fucking ecstatic at Russia successfully helping tear this country apart. Last when I was into this topic, no expert on the China economy ever said that China was going to collapse. Rather their prognosis is that the economy is near its peak and likely will stagnate from now on, maybe shrink a bit (maybe) . But not collapse
It's going to take us at least a couple decades to get back on track. At that point I'll be near retirement age. Yeah history progresses, but for me personally it's over.

Silver lining I guess. But it was more to save the preservation of the Union, there were still slave states in the Union during the Civil War. Yup, progressive politics in the US has been an exception not the rule. After about ~30 years we are just going back to business as usual. People forget segregation and women not being able to have their own bank accounts and abortion being illegal (the first time), is not something from ancient history.
