  • It hurts to download something from Limewire. Every time. I am aware that it is not the same place where an album was actually 4000 viruses anymore but I still react instinctively.

  • How bad is it really to listen to music with headphones? My mother told me if I keep doing that I'd go deaf... Is that fearmongering?

  • Yeah I'm hearing impaired on my left ear. Probably from sitting with headphones half off, playing world of warcraft and listening to loud music all day every day back in the day. I wouldn't recommend it. I'm lucky in that it isn't entirely gone, but I'd be lying if I said that it hasn't affected my life.

  • Yeah, I'm not too worried personally. I've encountered people who felt belittled, or maybe even infantilized, by having things explained to them. I think, ultimately, it comes down to understanding each individual's personality and how they respond to information. As well as not being rude or disrespectful, of course.

  • Tbh as an end user Bazzite was so nice and easy to install, especially since the website makes you configure the iso for what you're gonna use it on. It was a very no-bullshit way of getting linux on a PC.

  • I've been gaming on windows and had my laptop running linux for 3 years now but I've recently moved my PC to the TV for a more console-like experience. I realized that I almost exclusively play games with a controller anyway.

    To that end I switched to Bazzite. Has been working pretty much flawlessly! Even with an Nvidia GPU.
