  • The same is true in the US. When we have seizures we are reported to the dmv and get our licenses suspended for 6 months the.

  • Definitely find a therapist. Don’t depend on the internet for catharsis or advice.

  • HFW by a mile and it’s not close. It’s not that GoW is bad by any metric. It is a fantastic game. HFW is just THAT GOOD. Great visuals, great story, game play and combat is FANTASTIC. Well over 100 hours of content. Even more if you do all the side quests.

  • If you do something bad and they beat you, they don’t love you. If you do something bad and they yell at you and make you fix it or help you fix it, they love you.

  • I just want to get more people so we can have some niche communities going. The only thing I miss about Reddit is asking a random question in a niche sub and getting a response in like 15 minutes.

  • You have to make time for yourself boss. You need to set boundaries with your job as well. 60 hours is too much.

  • Im pretty sure I have undiagnosed adhd

  • About 3 years I bought a mechanic set of ratchets and wrenches and some other tools for changing my own oil and some other auto repairs. All in I spent about $500. In July, I changed my own brakes and rotors and 2 vehicles I own. On that job alone I saved over $1000 dollars. Not to mention all the times I changed my oil. I also changed my spark plugs on one of my cars and found a gasket leak that I also fixed which was probably another $500.

    Best investment of my life.

  • Committing to do your best isn’t a commitment. When you get questioned about it you just say you’re doing your best.

  • There is a fine line between not following instructions and being combative. The reason yours doesn’t work is because it opens the conversation up more for the employer to ask questions. It tows the line of being combative and telling the employer to pound sand.

There is no harm in telling the employer you’ll try to fix something. You just can’t commit because they’ll hold you to the standard you set. Committing to “do your best” can’t be challenged and most middle managers will think they won the conversation.

  • Since you’re union the only correct response is: “I’m sorry you feel that way, I’ll do my best to work on that”. That needs to be your response for literally any type of criticism. It’s not an admission of guilt, it cuts the conversation short, and it’s not a direct commitment to fix it. If they follow up with more crap about why you need to fix it just repeat the line. If they want you to sign something, make sure to “RTS”

  • Got any inside tips for shopping there? Like good ways to save some money?

  • Literally everything about it was revolutionary. One of the first games to have primary/secondary weapons. One of the first games to have vehicles and special weapons in an “open world” map. Regenerative shields.

A lot of games had these elements but no one had all of them in an online multiplayer game for console. Console gaming was still growing and Halo set a standard for literally every fps shooter after it.

  • I can understand that people find it repetitive but spare us the virtue signaling. It’s just a game it’s not that deep.

  • You mean you didn’t spend a month playing gwent?

  • Halos multiplayer was revolutionary. I’m not defending it though. I never liked it either but you have to admit it was a game changer.

  • You can not blame people for using a system that is legal. Just because you believe something is immoral doesn’t make it wrong.

  • I can’t give enough praise to Snowrunner. Need more players who enjoy simulation games!

  • I guess I’m at that age where stuff like this means I’m old 😂

I’ll answer your question though: just buy a watch that the minutes are clearly marked with ticks and the minute hand moves by the minute and isn’t in constant motion.

Here’s some friendly advice though. Before digital, there really wasn’t a way to be so accurate down to the minute. Remember there wasn’t even really a way to get the right time. You just got it from somewhere else and hoped that time was accurate. Most people set their watches to the places that we’re important to them, ie work. So that they they were on time to whatever it was that they needed to get to.

With that said, anyone that needed pinpoint accuracy had other means of getting the time or they used very expensive chronometers that kept time extremely well. In other words normal people just did stuff a couple minutes early in case their watches were slow.

ALL OF THAT to say if you want accuracy down to the minute, just use digital.

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

If I live in a red state, would it be better to vote for rfk to take votes away from trump?
