  • Manor Lords.

Plays really well but as one reviewer put it, it gets old after 20 hours or so.

That said, the early access bit is done well in that the content that is there works pretty well, and you can see placeholder for the other features being worked on.

Like right now it’s maybe like 25% of the full game, but that 25% works well and you can clearly see what’s coming.

  • The only thing holding me back from switching to Linux is gaming.

Nowadays you can run windows games with proton just as well if not better than on windows.

    I’m thinking about tying Ubuntu.

Ubuntu is garbage and canonical are pure evil for everything they’ve done. Snaps? Garbage you need flatpaks/debs/app images.

Bro it’s easy just avoid any distro with systemd and gnome/goblin/plasma that’s why I use Trilby. It’s a molecular version of Susan.

I installed Linux mint for my Granma if she can use it anyone can. Though personally I use arch btw.

(I actually do use Linux, for anyone curious a bastardisation of Ubuntu + KDE wrangled to work on a MacBook that removed are ditching support for… , btw)

  • I’m so glad you posted this - my integrated fridge door has dropped slightly after being taken off and put back on when installed. Can’t really screw back into mdf/chipboard/whatever and I’ve been stressing about getting it fixed for months because whilst it’ll get worse over time, it technically works and no doubt the fitter would say I need to take the whole thing out and replace the side panel.

    Thank you!

  • You could get “smart flood detectors” cheap on amazon that use smart life. They make a sound (not the loudest tbf) and trigger notifications on your phone via the app.

Maybe not the greatest for privacy but might start the trail…

  • If I had a dollar for every pixel in this image I’d have a nickel.

  • The Platform (2019).

  • Would all investments be liquidated rather than just inherited?

  • To be honest it wouldn’t even let me download it off a vpn, on a different OS that hadn’t connected to a vpn, or in a different browser.

Had to find somewhere other than the Microsoft site to get one.

  • Is this… unexpected?

    Genuine question.

  • I’ve had some luck with Ubuntu, I’ve made my “notes” public in case it’s of use to you!

I’d started with bootcamp (windows) to add another bootloader option then went from there. Most of my docs go from there.

  • You ever get the webcam working? I’ve tried the patjak stuff and can get the device detected but alas no /dev/video

  • Docker too obvious?

  • Very nice!

  • I’m out of the loop, care to elaborate?

Only thing I can say is that Carmack’s Wikipedia article reads like he wrote it himself before a job interview…

Not only does high intensity allow him to make progress more quickly, but long hours are also critical to maintaining a focused mindset over time. Despite working such a demanding schedule, he has never experienced burnout.

  • I have an intel device, not an ARM one.

Though I would love an M2!

  • What device are you intending to use, you mention you’re using removed so I’m guessing removed hardware?

Just thought I’d share my experience with pop on my MacBook in case we can help each other 😂. Basically I was dead set on pop but couldn’t get it to install for the life of me - the installer showed my disk as being a fraction of the size it was, even exfat volumes created by the installer. So I had to shrink other os petitions like crazy so I could trick it into thinking there was enough space.

There was no option to encrypt the disk in the installer and it didn’t play nice when I created my own LUKS container.

After several hours of trying to beat it into submission I ended up using Ubuntu’s legacy installer and was up and running in 15 mins.

So yeah if you are using removed hardware and get pop playing nice please share any tips :)
