  • Thanks for the help. Tbh I am probably not going to do any of that. I've been trying to live life for myself more rather than living it to impress some neurotypicals. Last year my girlfriend at the time cheated on me and I had a devastating mental breakdown after which I went to therapy. I eventually realised that I had been basing my entire self worth based on how much people liked me. This was proving detrimental to my mental health to the point where I has having episodes of dysphoria. Not like gender dysphoria but a general dysphoria about myself. We put so much pressure on neurodivirgent to change and adjust we forget just how mentally detrimental that can be. Putting pressure on myself to level up will just fuck with my mental health more. Besides, I am not a shut in. I love going out partying/drinking and I have a group of friends I go out with.

  • Sorry. I am late to this. I am the mod here and the mod on lemmy shit posting. I firmly stand my decision to remove your posts. You have to be very careful with what you post memes about and I got user reports about the meme which is why I decided to act on it. People can and will take things the wrong way and that's before I even go to the potential comments and users memes like that tend to attract.

  • The sad thing is there's tons of autistic people on that sub that geniuely think like that about themselves. One of my worst experiences posting was interacting with that place and getting another autistic person talking about how they wish to die, how they wanted to be hate crime'd and literally talked about offing themselves just to spite me. That person blocked me so I have no idea what they are up to these days. This was nearly a year ago and there's a good chance they've taken their life since then.

    I fucking hate r/antinatalism. Its 100% should be banned. Its literally just severely depressed people talking themselves deeper into depression.

  • Yup. It definitely feels like over time the human element of the Internet has been replaced by a corporate one. The most blatant example I can think of is youtube. Nowadays it's so obvious rigged in the favour of already established media and a select few content creators.

  • I would sometimes swear when I was 7. My mom cursed a lot so I picked it up young. She's one of these people that forcibly inserts fuck into a sentence as many times as humanely possible when upset. Example "clean your fucking room right fucking now or I am fucking taking the fucking Xbox.

  • Here's one, my former boss. I was on a course and as part of it, I was required to do an internship. It ended up lasting six months without me being paid so I told the manager that I need to change because I am starting my sociology course and I need to get paid. She said she'll get back to me and never did. I wanted to get paid weekend work so I could go to college and make money. I never heard back from her and instead a bunch of new people were actively picked over me to work on weekends and get paid.
