  • Hi, network engineer with a specialization in mikrotik, you’re on the right track.

You would configure the router to use one radio as your WAN connection, then NAT your internal connection using a masquerade rule. Pretty simple setup.

Some notable drawbacks for this dependent on model is that you will lose wireless speed as you will be using your wireless for upstream and downstream devices. This can be solved by using an AP on a different channel.

Note that mikrotik gives you a lot of ways to cut off your hands, so use safe mode for everything.

The specific topology you’re wanting to set up is something they teach you on day one at any mikrotik certification course.

Not sure I didn’t write anything down I was just doodling

  • Foogle

  • When’s the last time you tried?

I’ve been gaming on bazzite and haven’t found a game that doesn’t work. Haven’t had to touch a command line or anything, everything has been stable out of the box

  • Because American educational institutions are not and haven’t been about academia and learning for some time. It’s a good ol’ boys club you pay with daddy’s money or massive amounts of debt to be a part of, to give you a piece of paper you can use to virtue signal to other people who wasted similar amounts of money in the same place.

Hiring in IT has been an eye opener, I actively distrust people who present their degree as their first and foremost point of hirability; because they’re usually useless.

  • Scan and upload?

  • It’ll move in the direction of local rendering, with cloud “AI” powered elements

  • It confuses me how a company can basically invent an entire category of hardware, then proceed to do absolutely everything as terribly as possible after that.

    New Cisco firewalls? Fucking suck.

Cisco switches? Good hardware, but they haven’t evolved configuration wise since like the mid 2000s, and licensing costs as much as the switch, for foreign based support that doesn’t even understand the question.

The ENTIRE FTD platform is an absolute insult to engineering and should single handedly be responsible for bankrupting Cisco, imo.

  • Bazzite was a 15 minute experience for me, from first boot to playing X4 foundations and sea of thieves.

    Take the leap.

  • Honestly I migrated to bazzite about a month ago and my entire library has just… worked. It was shockingly easy. I haven’t changed anything from defaults at all.

  • The problem is even accounting for exchange rate, you get what you pay for.

  • Nah you’ll just have a big tax bill you have to save for

  • Yes it would. That’s why they’re having people fill out strike cards and waiting until they actually have that organization before they set a date

  • This will be too short notice and too expensive for many to attend. Generalstrikeus.com has the right idea

  • I think this one is too short noticed for most people

  • You can just stop this thought after the 1st if
