  • For a second I thought you meant bundling pizza with the deal. Which I think would work well. Imagine getting one free dominoes pizza a week with game pass ultimate++. Haha

The Final Countdown is close 2nd.

  • They are about €1 for a small pack. So it's easier to replace it than to test it directly.

But if you mean to see if it's the problem without taking it out.

After running the computer for a few hours. Turn it off, unplug it from the mains and disconnect the main battery for 24 hours. Connect the main battery and power it on, go directly to the bios and see if the time and date are still correct.

If they are not, it's likely a bad CMOS battery.

  • In my experience the play store is awful to use if you're looking for anything that's not full of ads and/or extremely monetized. I recommend only using it when you know exactly which app you're looking for.

Generally I find games through itch.io and recommendations from others. Also there are foss game emulators on GitHub and similar sites.

Netflix recently started offering mobile games as well.

Ages ago humble bundle did android games but that's all in the past now.

I've been enjoying worldbox and lichess. I used to have a bunch more but the latest Android version made most of my collection stop working.

  • If I understand the question, it would be the point where the gas would lose its state and become a liquid or solid. This variable is influenced by pressure, the container and the external vs internal temperatures.

  • Sounds like a bad CMOS battery. They are typically a small cr2032 battery cell.

Your specific model should hopefully have a technicians manual or iFixit guide you can follow to fix it. If your computer is still under warranty they can fix it for you.

That battery is responsible for the computers firmware holding onto its specific settings and can trigger various out of box and security issues unaddressed.

  • What helps me is that I try to disengage 10 hours before I need to wake up. Usually takes a couple hours before I'm ready to sleep. So I'll just lay in bed listening to music or scrolling through Lemmy.

  • They used to make an unleaded monster.

But the flavour profile of most cans is salt water taffies if that helps.

  • That stuff typically only works if you want to stop.

  • Energy drinks, I could drink em all day if I let myself.

After experiencing a pretty good scare when I was a kid. I've avoided repeating that and limit myself to a couple at most.

  • If I'm intended to be a part of the conversation (such as a group demonstration) it's offensive if they don't make an effort to keep everyone on the same page.

The manager is also potentially concerned that she can't monitor the chatter for mistakes. (And ego)

  • I wonder who the last person will be that knows how to fix a dos machine.

  • I'm thinking you're already on it.

But have you checked out bluesky?

  • My dungeons and dragons group uses Google docs for that. Never had an issue.

  • Oh interesting, I'll need to look into that more.

I'd expect that it's much better than a 1050. And still probably best in slot at that price point. (For new hardware)

Perhaps a used 1080ti would be better but I doubt a system with a 1050 has the power supply for that.

  • still using 2016 budget GPU (1050Ti).

Check out the Intel b580, your 2019 hardware should support rebar. (An bios update might be required). It's a phenomenal upgrade for around $250US

But I feel you on the bandwidth issue. I've had to give up on some games that frequently update.
