  • Bingo, the subjects of crime documentaries are sometimes very difficult to paint in even a neutral light. Most producers don't even try, as if it were an honest effort to run their tongues over the cop's shoes the entire time. I think that the 2011 documentary from Werner Hertzog (Into the Abyss) is the best I've seen in recent years, given the way he's able to at least portray the subjects impartially.

  • No, not just you. I saw someone comment on this years, and years ago, calling "Copaganda". They were right, and so is everyone else I've seen talk about it, the way these documentaries glomp all over them like a 5-year-old with a hero complex is fucking pathetic coming from adults.

Fuck, I've got so many weird ones that I can't nearly shoehorn enough of them in here without writing a laundry list. If you want a band that's done solid work top-to-bottom for decades though, take a look at the Melvins.

  • Spring-Summer: 18 (if hotter - underpants)

    Fall-Winter: 3 (if colder + sweater & balaclava)

  • Very small, precision needle-nose pliers work as well, but there needs to at least be a very small part of the key-break to grab. If the key somehow snaps in a position that's even slightly recessed, I've used a tootpick and tiny dab of superglue (not enough to spread and touch the lock itself - be careful lol).

  • Sure it, doesn't, neither does the weather but it still tends to function based reliably predictable criteria. I'm describing the baseline definition because OP asked about whether or not it counts. Judges decide, and generally err based on constituent parts of the scenario qualify for established legal definitions.

  • By legal standards, it's my understanding that any unlawful release from custody is a "jail break" regardless of the conditions of incarceration. Unjust detainment is a kind of legal threshold intended to assign a determination of legality to any scenario where anyone is taken into custody by state officials or law enforcement, not someone's opinion of whether or not it's fair.

  • Well, I'll be damned. Straight from the horse's mouth, it really does taste like crap. That's wild, maybe it's stuffed with vitamins and minerals... someone ages ago had the idea to cram those fish eggs into their craw, so I guess it was one of those meals of necessity? If that's the case, I'll be damned if I can figure out why someone would luxuriate crummy eggs on crackers.

  • I'm still holding my judgement on caviar. I assume there's a reason that it's so popular, and not just because it's expensive, which is to say that I think the people shelling out to eat it wouldn't do so if it tasted like fish ass.

  • Make random jungle and peacock noises close to them. Nothing makes them want a more private conversation than the person on the other end saying that it sounds like they were lying about where they are. Sex moaning and sloppy liquid pulching sound effects optional depending on others nearby.

  • A Political Compass meme, in a Lemmy post's comment section?

  • If the Reagan administration's legacy is any indication, no, no it won't. Things will continue being fucked and getting worse decades from now.

  • I wonder if he'll fabricate some fish-shaped waffle maker molds next as tribute to Bungeo Bbang from Korea?

  • Exactly right. I still can't believe that George W. Bush was permitted to run for the Republican party. The man's mind is like Newton's Cradle with the five brain cells clacking together, it was brutal to watch.

  • Easy, continue to eat and drink as expected when in the company of others. If pressed about appetite on any occasion, simply claim to have eaten beforehand.
