  • Ah, it was. I’m still very fond of it’s UX and integrity.

  • Postiz is one of those open source projects that’s intentionally very hard to self host so you‘re practically gravitate towards to use their own paid services.

I hope they give up on that business strategy sometime.

  • Oh, so when we come into some other religion’s “higher stance” is just being an illusion, a propaganda to see “colonizers superior culture” is why they have free pass on crimes towards the oppressed, suddenly it wasn’t about that, huh. Like, they would never ever do such things. Except they do massacres, daily.

I’d like to see how “developed” MAGAs or AFD people to react to Jesus and Peter published on every “developed” newspaper’s front page, as the commenter I’ve replied suggested. Run over the newspapers stands with a truck? Then step down and shoot around? Maybe they aim to kids. That’ll show’em.

Extremism is everywhere. No belief, religion or politic stance, is exempt from it. I didn’t said a thing about Hebdo, just surprised to see how people in 2025 taking worse stances than George Bush in 2004 when it’s about Islam.

  • While I agree with Satire should be staunchly defended, I can’t see a way for that to happen when you hit a nerve with a greathammer repeatedly.

So as a society we can show our full stance besides satire, but showing a stance, even with millions of people, could stop them getting killed by a two radicals? It appears not.

So what should we do, put State Police in front of their door? I think police standing in front of every satire outlet would be a satire itself.

  • Thank you very much for informing me about my religion and everyone else’s high and developed society.

But please take a moment to check what you embraced as “the” civilized fellows done in Gaza, breaking 4 years old kids ribs with their knees. You need to think careful about that fact.

  • It’s always someone comes to build a strawman whenever one mentions Muslims could have some sensibilities.

  • In respect to their Muslim readers. Whatever you think, for Muslims, including me, it’s profane to picture Mohammad, as much it’s profane to picture Jesus fucking Peter in the ass.

Even if there’s no reasoning behind it, respecting 1.8 billion people’s sensibilities should be the niceness I’d like to see in the world.

  • I won’t argue with streaming services go fuck themselves but music industry’s not being in a good place also deeply related with there are shit megaton quadrillion musicians spawning everyday now. And most of them are pretty good!

Making music got easier by decade and it’s around 500$ to have all kinds of tech and instruments better than what Radiohead used in Kid A, and learning resources are way more accessible now.

Total music related spending (vinyls, merch, tickets) skyrocketed compared to 80s or 90s as well, but it’s also split between 100 million artists, and not 100.000. Yet the listener headcount only doubled or tripled.

  • HTS is currently pledged to Syrian Salvation Government, which is basically the opposition government in exile (operating from Istanbul), governing NW Syria (4 mil pop) from the back seat for the last 10 years. HTS is just acting as its main (but not only) militia organization, and Jolani said HTS will oversee the Syrian state’s transition to SSG.

We’ll hear the names of Mohammed al-Bashir and Mustafa al-Mousa in the coming days.

HTS mostly consists of militants splintered off from Al Qaeda and ISIS, and waged war against them. Apparently they gave up “Salafist” terrorism to turn into a Syrian Nationalist movement instead. Jolani sounded more moderate than I was expecting, so let’s hope the new western backed puppet state brings some peace to Syrians after all.

  • Node-RED requires enough technical knowledge that it becomes not easier, but harder than writing JS code when things go medium size. N8N is superior in UX.

Also although I greatly appreciate everyone’s efforts, I don’t want to rely on community plugins that require maintenance and may or may not abandoned after it’s developer loses interest/move on with their life. TBH NPM is brimming with those.

  • Yeah, businesses went big in N8N but home users are somehow unaware of it. It even has Home Assistant integration.

  • KitchenOwl - Smart Shopping List & Recipe Manager - paste any online recipe (including YouTube) and it will add the missing ingredients to your shopping list.

N8N - IFTTT/Zapier alternative visual scripter with NodeRed touch. Has integrations with thousands of APIs.

Not directly a docker image but Obsidian LiveSync, an Obsidian plugin that uses a self-hosted CouchDB or Object storage to replicate official Sync.

  • Cyriak is the first thing comes to mind when I see sheep and horror together.

  • SteamOS is compatible with fuckloads of gamepads and gaming peripherals from JoyCons (+ Gyros) to Airpods (Mode switching etc). It might not be best for the custom hardware though.

  • That‘s nice. We have this forepayment discount with all our taxes and tickets instead :D

  • Turkiye: E-Devlet.

We have this E-Government system that centralizes almost all relations with the State, I really don’t remember when was the last time I saw an official document in paper. With all 1000+ official agencies involved, you can access and manage over 8000+ services like GDPR permissions, analogue tv frequency infos, paying traffic tickets, state-backed escrowing, fraud checks, my kids grades, my medical records etc within an handsome mobile/web app.

It was shocking to see even my German friends still need to use their physical mailboxes to handle official stuff. I can imagine it’s even worse at the rest of the western world.

  • One thing no one will tell you HOW LOUD some HDDs could get under load. You may not want any of those disks around if you’re keeping your server around your living spaces.

Just check dB values in the spec sheets.
