  • I think this is beyond luck. This is astronomical. It's orders of magnitude beyond what is lucky for our entire civilization to have produced in its entire existence

  • If this is reproducible without chicanery, I'm terrified

  • The brain is incredibly malleable and, for a lot of people, memory is a vague image or a concept of something which happened. For a smaller subset, visual memory and visual imagination is not possible. Pictures are a more permanent visual representation, which can be additive to an experience. That's not to say you shouldn't live in the moment or that you should take pictures in lieu of making memories. You do you. I'm biased because I'm a photographer though.

  • This is really neat. Thank you. I would love a script or a more newb-friendly guide, not just for me, but for a lot of other users.

Can I make a suggestion? Post your script on github or similar with a proper (open) liscence so people can make suggestions or versions they find useful.

  • I've been on the internet a long time and this made me say "what the fuck" out loud

Edit: not sure whether I should ask what this all is or if ibshpuld complement you on your "output"

  • 3090 24gb ($800 USD)

    3060 12gb x 2 if you have 2 pcie slots (<$400 USD)

Radeon mi50 32gb with Vulkan (<$300 ) if you have more time, space, and will to tinker

  • Damn. I'm turning in my programmer badge and service weapon

  • I understand the sentiment but it's 17 quid. And it's 480p. And the storage is - from what I understand - not included because it uses an SD card. They're making money on the hardware.

  • I have had similar work contracts.

    1. do not use ANY company resources. This could put you at risk of theft.
    2. do not do it on company time or make it look like it's on company time. See point 2.
    3. you are liable for being fired if you break your work contract in most of the US.
    4. whether or not you actually own the IP you created is unfortunately subject to state laws (in the US)

I want you to be successful. Don't hurt your future career prospects

  • One time in the early 2000s, I saw a commercial during Adult Swim on Cartoons Network and I've wanted to see it again ever since. It was for Virgin Mobile and it featured Ode to Joy or 1812 Overture plating over quick cuts of mundane objects which turn out to be innuendo... for body parts. I know it wasn't delusion because I was at a friends house and also though it was epic.

  • I'm sure someone will give a better answer but this smells of a UEFI/secure boot problem. Look in your BIOS and turn those off or to legacy or "other os"

  • The Chaos by Gerard Nolst Trenité (1922)

Dearest creature in creation Studying English pronunciation, I will teach you in my verse Sounds like corpse, corps, horse and worse.

I will keep you, Susy, busy, Make your head with heat grow dizzy; Tear in eye, your dress you'll tear; Queer, fair seer, hear my prayer.

Pray, console your loving poet, Make my coat look new, dear, sew it! Just compare heart, hear and heard, Dies and diet, lord and word. ...

    Very long. Highly recommended

  • Oof. This hits hard

  • My eepc is also 32 bit with 2gb of RAM. I did Debian 12 with LXDE from the net installer and it works really well.

  • Talent, passion, skill, and a worthwhile cause, all coming together on display, beautifully. It's so imprssive what people can make.

  • Just to be clear, I think T-SQL is fine and apparently they added some string agg function so you don't have to hack XML_agg so... Something improved. But stinky spaghetti SQL is unfixable
