  • Weirdly simple. It does not have a rotation motor. It is quite old.

  • In my Flat we still have a microwave that does not have a rotating plate. Insteadt it has a spinning rotor in the roof that deflects the waves in order to cook food evenly. It works well but it is needlessly complicated compared to modern microwaves.

  • 'Come and See' by Elem Klimov. A Soviet War Movie from 1985 told from the perspective of a young boy in Siberia.

The people developing vegan meat alternatives must have eaten a lot of meat beforehand so they can replicate the taste and texture.

  • Sure, there is some vegan sushi I can get here. But it is only good instead of amazing. Making it an even more ridiculous first world problem.

  • Moved to a new city a while ago and there is hardly any good vegan sushi here anywhere.

  • When you start to think about it there is no clear dividing line. For many people it is probably a degree of exclusivity. As in there being a degree of friendship you are only supposed to share with one single person. Goes out the window when you are any kind of non-monogamous of course.

  • Plottwist in the finale: It turns out there really was a conspiracy after all. The alien Invasion happens unopposed while Scully is just annoyed and Mulder sits at home depressed and confused.

  • Perhaps more of a Miniseries. And the thing driving the plot would be not just the investigations but Mulders Struggle to rethink everything he belived in.

A reboot of the X-Files but this time Scully is always right. Everything has a totally rational explanation and Mulder slowly loses his belive in the supernatural.

  • When David Lama, Hans Jörg Auer and Johnathan Rosskelly died in an Avalanche. They were the absolute best of the best in mountaineering, they had everything going for them and then suddenly it was over. I remember how it swept me off my feet and the shockwave it sent through the mountaineering community.

  • Have you discussed the poop question already? Depending on where you are there different rules and things to look out for. Sounds like a joke but this can be a dealbreaker for how good a time you have.

  • I am really not worried about my safety at all. Just curious.

Can anyone help identify this spider? Found on a celing in Austria.

  • The Substance

It looks like everyone involved felt like they were making something super deep and meta. The plot fully relies on every character making the worst and unrelatable choices imaginable. Insteadt of deconstructing the sexist, male gaze the camera revels in it and all that is accompanied by the most nervegrinding disney-esque sound design.

  • Work is more then just wage labour. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Is this a Maggot and, if yes, what kind?

What good/positive habits have you taken away from your time in Covid lockdown and kept up since then?

Is the country you are from more of a 'Hugger' or a 'formal Handshake' kind of culture when it comes to greeting each other?
