Yet another thing awesome on luanti. My friends aren't convinced it's minecraft and say it's a rip off just buy the Microsoft one and im like , no fuck Microsoft not doin it.
My best recommendation outside of trying a friend's car, try driving one in a sim racing or racing game! That'll give you an idea. Games like the long drive or even motortown have clutch simulation. You can even do it with a keyboard, but even a cheap wheel is good to practice with. Even with a 2 pedal wheel, you can bind the brake to the clutch and practice that way.
Seconded Kiwix! Or, start learning some programming- I listen to Python programming videos while I'm doing boring stuff to absorb information...and it's relaxing ha
Trying to explain this to people I know is nearly impossible. They always think "but when I'm rich I want all the money and no regulation!" Well guess what you work at Walmart and will never be rich so I guess let yourself get endlessly exploited then. There is no ethical billionaire. Maybe not even millionaire tbh.
Mini hijack but what software would yall recommend for vhs backups, preferably linux native? I figure need to do this before they start degrading. I have a capture card already, just was wondering the best software. I tried potplayer but didnt love it..id really need software with an auto shutoff so I can play a tape when I go to work or bed and not have 6 hours of blank recorded...
True. But it seems like it's way too late to start learning any programming now. Plus it's saturated. I'll learn it on the side for fun but it'll probably never be a viable job for me
Yeahh exactly. AI has pretty much ruined computer based fun now. Which in some ways is good, we should all learn physical hobbies again and not be reliant on tech. I still enjoy my hobby desktop computers though, I just enjoy learning how it really works under the surface.
I still want to get into coding the OG manual way (because I enjoy pain and disappointment apparently) but now it seems like a waste of time since vibe coders and 13 year olds already are lightyears ahead of me. Also I have no reason to learn it, all apps are already built xD
Thats a good idea, i have not made any aliases yet. Also remembering all of those aliases is another challenge ha. I keep a text file named commands on my desktop with a whole bunch of commands I forget.
I think just doing it more, and thinking it's cool to interact more directly. At least that helps me. I do feel bad for dyslexic peiple though, it's a lot harder for them to use CLI.
Probably all the earlier need for speeds (1 2 and 3, underground) just played em a lot! Also duck hunt of course
