I was driving home from LA with a friend. While on the freeway, in the middle of nowhere, and no cars near us, we hear a noise like a hand knocking on the driver side backseat window. There was only the two of us sitting in the front, and there was nothing in the back seats. We confirmed with each other that we both heard the noise, and that it was strange. I was very curious, and it was daytime, so I pulled over to the side to check things out. Nothing. Even a highway patrol officer stop by to check up on us. (Don't worry, we didn't get shot, even though we were non-white, it was a less divided time back then).
To this day, I cannot even imagine what could have made that knocking sound on the window. 😬
I'm guessing AAA game publishers are like the major movie studios, and are risk averse, so they will just make sequels to existing IPs or make something unexciting with fancy graphics. What they don't understand is that AA and indie devs have the tools to make games that look good or good enough, and are also very interesting and creative. So if a AAA publisher dies off, then good riddance. AAA gaming dying don't mean the gaming industry is dying. 🤷♂️
Exactly. The article is clickbaity and out of touch. It's not like there's a decline in the number gamers. It's just harder to make a AAA game that's a hit, and that's doesn't mean the gaming industry is dead. AAA gaming/games are not representative of the whole gaming industry. AAA gaming is becoming the example of what NOT to do in the gaming industry. 🤦♂️
Yup, I like using a combo of ungoogled chromium and librewolf depending on which works better for certain websites or web apps . To me, Linux is about using the right tool for the job.
3 months on my VM
and just installed it bare metal on a work PC. Also, just to note, even if you are connected to the internet, tiny 11 still won't ask you to set up an online account, and even while doing updates during the install process.
Been using tiny 11 iso. Doesn't even ask u to create an online account, and it doesn't come with edge browser. Can still get security updates. So far so good.
