I remember this flash game I played as a kid that was a sci fi tower defense where each level you were trying to stave off a... Purple fog? Something like that.. Just long enough so your colony could launch off planet to escape the allconsuming purple atmosphere. I have no clue what it's called and have tried looking it up but to no avail. If anyone here knows what it's called I would be indebted
Edit: thanks for the suggestions folks it was neither outpost nor the creeper world games
I mean sure, but I don't think it's simpler than setting up a wireguard config IMO.
For tailscale you gotta make an account, register devices, connect them. Feel like wireguard is about the same except you don't have to make an account.
I never really understood the point of using Tailscale over plain ol' WireGuard. I mean I guess if youve got a dozen+ nodes but I feel like most laymens topologies won't be complex beyond a regular old wireguard config
This might be exactly what I'm looking for, thank you! I'm fine with Beeper itself, I just want the decryption on a machine I control so this looks perfect if I can get it working. Thanks!
I'm aware, as stated in the post I mentioned I've been trying that one out but running into a lot of issues. I'm not trying to debug those here though, just trying to get opinions on other options.
My current laptop I use when I'm away from home is a surface pro (one of the ones from like 2017). It just doesn't hold more than two hours of charge now and constantly freezes just simply browsing.
After reading the replies here, I'm currently considering a refurbished framework 13 because I value its repairability though you do make salient points about their supply chain if they go under.
I may also wait a bit as I think I can hold off without a laptop for bit longer. All depends on where my job takes me in the coming months. Or if I still have one :/
Can you add a split tunnel for just the Chromecast app (I presume that's how it works idk I don't use Chromecast) so that just that specific app always ignores your VPN?
Is there any FOSS app that can handle RCS too or is that all still closed off
