Everyone does everything to enrich themselves. The motivation for all life is to feel good. Sometimes money makes you feel good. Sometimes sex makes you feel good. Sometimes doing the right thing makes you feel good. In any situation, any person is going to be making the decision they make based on what will make them feel good.
