  • it's a very simple concept, and it's both hilarious and depressing how apparently divisive it is. fun how many "allies" and fellow queers are in a rush to play the "hysterical trans person" card and pretend we're talking nonsense.

  • "directionless wad of animosity crying victim and living for dramatic horseshit just to make other people feel lesser" seems more appropriate but sure you can choose the "violent transphobic bigot" label if you prefer. unlike some other people i'm not in a hurry to decide whose identity is and isn't valid based on how shitty i think they act, or color a person's entire existence a certain way based on a handful of internet comments.

  • this is ironically by far the most unhinged and least self-aware screed i've read in this community over the past several days. you gonna challenge me to fight you irl too?

  • HRT be like 5 years later, still zero difference

it'll totally happen sooner or later, no you don't need to work on self-acceptance at all just take pills until the thing you want just comes to you and keep comparing yourself to extreme outliers until then

can we talk about how fucking toxic it is that the norm in trans communities is to build up a bunch of expectations around HRT? like I've almost lost someone because their result weren't aligning with the hype, and I have no small amount of baggage related to the same. we need to stop with the "hrt is literal magic" crap and start being honest.

  • Your identity doesn't shield you from being a bigot though, or from twisting yourself in terflike knots to justify misgendering others.

It's very strange how many professed nonbinary, fluid, and agender people suddenly have an issue with gatekeeping what gender is or isn't and whose is worth acknowledging based on arbitrary criteria and narratives about personal virtue.

  • cool, there's the door. don't let it hit your ass.

  • "I don't care enough to keep up with it so everyone else can just deal" isn't neurodiversity and I hope there's a hell for you to burn in for insinuating such a thing.

  • lmao big "i cant be racist im colorblind" energy. this is all a figleaf to excuse yourself tripling down on misgendering people if you disagree with them about their gender.

  • yesterday you were twisting yourself in knots to justify misgendering others. Today you're patting yourself on the back for "not caring".

  • meanwhile the one avowed nihilist i've known was a super happy-go-lucky dude, and the absurdists i know tend to be majorly unhappy people.

  • look up Pascal's Wager, and compare and contrast with Roko's Basilisk.

  • so many people are willfully missing this very simple point, and it says a lot about how they really think about trans people.

  • my point still stands, the more a word is in use the less "silly" it sounds. if you shoot everything down as sounding "too silly" then nothing will ever rise to that bar and become "acceptable" enough to use. you're basically going "i think neopronouns are silly and we shouldn't use them" with extra steps.

  • i think i've been pretty clear in my meaning, and you're continuing to willfully miss each and every point to a tee. it's pretty clear you're not engaging in good faith at this point so i'm just gonna hit the block and report buttons and move on with my day.

  • also hello i am a trans woman who has experienced they/them being weaponized as a vehicle to refuse to acknowledge my identity, and it landed exactly the same as "he". please put your assumptions back in your ass where they came from, they're worse than useless.

  • refusing to acknowledge someone's gender identity is phobic and abusive, if you're having trouble with this very basic core concept then you're no ally of mine. the fact that you keep returning to "wHaT iF i DoN't kNOw" after I've already hammered as hard as I can on "yeah but once they tell you tho" says the ENTIRE quiet part for you.

  • you, you're doing it right. behavior is not an excuse to knowingly misgender someone. everything else in this thread is beside the point.

  • it's shitty to continue they/them'ing someone who asked for different pronouns, no different than referring a person you know is a trans woman as "he", full stop. but please continue spinning yourself in circles to make it okay to knowingly and willingly misgender people, queer folks deserve to see that big red flag you're waving.

  • "you get the pronouns i feel like using for you" is some phobe shit, adding a third option doesn't make it less of a shitty thing to do.
