  • I love pop, just so you know 🙂

  • This but also stop trying to unstick stuff when its not finished cooking yet.

That was one thing i had to learn when moving to stainless, you need to wait for the protein to unstick itself. Which when you're so used to cooking on non-stick seems insane and risky.

  • Yes, with the world literally on the precipice of war, join the military to solve your sleep issues.

  • This will definitely be a TED talk in the future and silicon valley people will think the person(likely a man) is amazing and "ground breaking"

  • As long as you keep the apps up to date both on your devices and the server, I've had zero issues with it!

I just wanted something similar to Google photos which i could set and forget, other than being a bit lazy with managing my NAS, it's been flawless! Plus it's the benefit that my data is staying with me 🥰

  • Could you beat me off in a gay off?

  • Ive had a set of eufy cameras for almost 7 years, I've never uograded the SD card the storage unit thingy came with and its been flawless!

I have no idea how decent any of their new stuff is but I'm very happy with the performance I've had so far! Especially given they are the wire-free cameras which you have to recharge every 4 months or so.

  • I've done this but using my password manager on my phone. Honestly saved us so many times when the old house alarm has gone off which we rarely use but is also linked up with the fire alarm!

  • I hate teams so much, people want an instant response on something from me. At the same time, I also love being able to receive an instant response back from people.

It's like now we have opened the box we cant close it...

  • Sorry, i also forgot to mention.

Since the incident the coworker has gone about things acting as though everything is fine. In fact, since the incident they have been working so much harder than they were previously.

The director noted this and advised me that, from their point of view, the coworker was trying to make it as though I'm the one with the issue with all of this and that I'm the difficult person. And in addition they are now having to work twice as hard so that they can't be performance managed.

  • No Stupid Questions @lemmy.world

    Handling malicious coworker advice

  • Yes.

As someone in a similar situation, entertainment PC connected, I've never connected my smart TV to the internet. There is no need.

  • Privacy @lemmy.ml

I haven't used this product in probably 10+ years, never interact with their emails and received this earlier today...

  • No left hand options 😪

  • As a guy, its honestly a crime more women's clothing doesn't come with pockets. Especially when clothing comes with fake pockets, more women deserve pockets!

  • RiMusic is one I know of

  • archive.org

I was looking for an old show I saw back in 2000's to see if any streaming platforms had it, low and behold someone had archived the VHS version of the show! The quality obviously wasn't HD but it was good enough to still watch and reminisce.

  • Some excellent advice, this is a really great post!

Personally I've opted to stick with DDG for now, its some what centred around privacy, whilst thats probably not much when it comes to tracking I at least appreciate the illusion. Search works good enough about 90% of the time and it allows you to easily switch off the AI BS so you can search the web like a normal search engine.

I've used others like Ecosia which I thought was not terrible but not great either. I used searchxng for a while and the results were always much more interesting but I would find it to be a bit more unreliable. I also tried Gibiru which I found to be one of the better privacy central search engines, it was fairly reliable but also had a good balance of unique results too.

Kagi, I tried this out but there is something about this search engine which I just don't like. I get the whole idea of paying for it because they don't sell your data but something about it just feels shady and a bit like a cash grab on people who are eager for a privacy focused situation but don't want to think about it too hard.

  • MONO NO AWARE - かむかもしかもにどもかも!

No clue on the lyrics but the melody along with the lyrics are excellent

  • As with many things, I think the answer is somewhere in the middle.

You have to act in your own self interest at times otherwise no one is going to prioritise your interests. But at the same time you should at times prioritise other peoples interests so that they will do the same in turn, I love the saying, "treat others how you would like to be treated"

That said, if you only ever prioritise others over yourself, at some points this will be a detriment to you.

However, just because you might try and strike the balance of maintaining your own self interest in tandem with those you care about, doesn't mean you'll always strike the right balance or not accidentally prioritise yourself at the detriment of someone else, we are only human after all.

  • Reddit removed access to the API and broke all the great third party apps and features which the community designed. Reddit is still a community but its not free to decide how things are governed or what features are or are not allowed.

Reddit turned into exactly the same as every other social media and lost what was truly good about it.

What would make you change distro?
