So.... finally Mozilla has slowly but surely going into the dark side huh...I'm not surprised anymore, they even had telemetry code inside android apps from waaay back then (although seems for debugging purpose)
In the end I'm not justify all company bc they need money for survive & exist, although i don't like the way they do it
IMO there's no true FOSS software out there, why ?because FOSS software still use some proprietary library or make some part in their code proprietary (good reason for this because you don't wanna some dude steal your code & claims it)
The things i like about kali linux is very beginner friendly, although it's doesn't have much tools compared to blackarch but in the end it does job well
I hate everything about cloud engineer especially when tweaking & deploying, after that your boss blame you because the company got higher bill just because the apps have tons hidden micro service & peaked the server like crazy & your coworkers that made the apps got praise because your boss & project manager didn't know anything about IT
As long as the device itself has decent spec & easy way to unlock the bootloader I don't care, bc there's some dude out there on XDA Forums that can help to upgrade the device further
Many pirated games installer doesn't work under wine (like from xatab, RG Mechanic, Razor, etc) unless you download pre-installed games like from IGG Games or you just download pirated gog games
Buggy glitching games work under wine (i don't know why that happened)
Many mod organizer & tools (MO, VORTEX, NMM, etc) doesn't work unless you download old version or download some sketchy dll files from sketchy website to make those programs works well
Sometimes after running games under wine my system crashes like unable to restart/shutdown or failed to open some programs like dolphin, terminal, etc (maybe bc my system running on wayland)
No Photoshop, After Effects, or Microsoft Office (yes....i know linux has similar programs but those suck & my workplace has standard)
Hard to fine tuning some apps unless you wanna do some dirty work in YAML or XML or CONF files
AdAway alone can't remove that thing unless you used HAGEZI filters & 1Host pro filterFor apps i just used Adguard bc it can strip any protocol & block ads even if that app has encrypted ads
Depends...Adguard has little secret that can strip any protocol request, basically it's has monitor that can detect any weird behavior apps that has access to internet
From my experience it's work flawlessly, but you need a little bit of work to enabled it & of course you need the right filtersIn my device i used AdAway for host blocking (a.k.a non regex filtering) & Adguard for blocking ads that has weird behavior. Both of them works flawlessly & since then my device has no ads/tracking or whatsoever wherever i go
Well part that break any banking apps, i can't deny thatBut there's fix for that things, i just followed some guy instructions from XDA Forum & all my banking/paying apps work flawlesslyOf course it's not easy work at first tbh, but always remember it's hard but you only do that hard working once
I remembered 10 years ago have same thinking like you, but after internet has became shitty i must do that. At first yes.... everything seems like hard things to do since it's first time for me do something to my smartphone way beyond it's recommend, but after that it's just like walking in the park
