  • Did not expect to see this. Looks like there was a reason they moved this from streaming to theaters. I was thinking of cancelling my A-List but this is a nice surprise to go see.

  • Yeah that would be great. I think both ideas if implemented would be excellen. Both types of media in one comm dilutes what people may want to talk about. Maybe its because communities are smaller here so they don't want each individual community to feel like there's a dearth of content. I'm also subscribed to the movies community in lemmy.world and lemmy.ml as well but this definitely has the most activity.

  • That’s what I mean exactly.

That’s also a great idea about splitting it up. having both kind of dilutes the community to have both in one.

  • It feels like the same Reddit crowd from when I was in college (2011). So I’m guessing we skew towards millennials, early Gen Z folks. Definitely more tech oriented than other platforms that’s for sure. Also just as liberal as Reddit. There is a much larger focus on privacy here as well.

  • The Northman. Seeing Eggers with a huge budget was a sight to behold. Incredible cinematography and great performances from Skarsgard, Kidman, Claes, Defoe (man there’s so many to name). I love seeing Norse culture and mythology as well (play Hellblade if you ever get the chance).

I’m not sure if it’s considered an “original” considering it’s an adaptation of the classic The Lion King.

  • Is that you Ross?

  • Higher salary, free lunch, commute costs covered. And should be hybrid instead of all five days in the office (Tues-Thurs).

  • Not gonna lie, I love sports and don’t see any on my feed. In fact I’m subbed to a lot and even my subscribed tab is very sparse.

  • I actually recently got an ROG Ally cause I have prepaid GamePass and felt I was just watching TV instead of playing. I felt so guilty wasting my subscription and watching good games come and go. But once I got the Ally, I've been playing more than I ever been since I was a kid. Even when the wife is watching her shows I can just chill with her playing games.

  • I think chiropractors also fall under this

  • At the moment I’m sharing Netflix/Gamepass with a friend who is sharing their Hbo/Hulu. Once they start cracking down on passwords im going to only subscribe when there is something there for me to watch.

Yeah I could resort to piracy but I want them to know why I subscribed and unsubscribed each time.

The day I go back to piracy is when they start drafting up 1/2 year contracts for their services. I don’t think it’s that far honestly . Probably another year or so we’ll see at least one streaming service try it .

  • I just tried and having no issues so far :)

  • Question as a newbie with revanced, can I log in or will that get my account banned ?

  • Transformers: Dark of the Moon, I love this movie for some reason. I actually enjoy Shia in this role, the action/ special effects are great, and the score from Steve Jablonsky is one of the best I've heard in a blockbuster (yeah I said it). Great voice acting as well with Leanord Nimoy joining in. It also felt like a true ending to a trilogy.

  • I wouldn't call this a bad movie though? GDT directed movie with decent reviews (72% RT and 65 Metacritic).

Unless you're referring to the sequel (haven't watched).

  • Yeah it looks good to me now. That was weird (bots are out to get me lol)

  • Is my Lemmy client busted or the parent comment is about Lee Harvey Oswald

  • Absolutely agreed here but I wouldn't even consider that conspiracy, I think documents showing UAPs even admitted that. It being extraterrestrial would be the true WTF moment.

  • Lol it's a Good Place reference where they aren't able to say fuck
