  • Excommunicating is the best example

  • Richard Stallman being cancelled for defending a dead colleague against Epstein accusations.

It was clear people already had an axe to grind him, and they just used that as an excuse.

It was another reason for me not to take the average idiot seriously.

  • Virtual mission?

  • I prefer Adnauseam over uBlock Origin.

It uses uBlock Origin as a base, but extends it to click on ads in addition to blocking them.

  • Interesting. I've been using Wayland for the past few months and forgot I even made the switch.

    That means it's ready.

  • Neither. I just eat them like normal.

  • Interesting. I was thinking more about holding the gun sideways like a gangster.

  • That's a fair take. I don't think he's as bad in his head as people make him out to be.

He's autistic and has to deal with a lot of influences around him without having the space to interpret them for what they are.

He's operating on auto-pilot more often than not. Yeah he's rich, yeah he's a piece of shit, but I'm not going to elevate him to the level of a 'supervillain' because I simply believe he doesn't understand why he's doing what he's doing.

  • It was a lot more difficult to do almost anything.

  • Using Linux isn't something you need to defend towards others.

As long as something is comfortable for you, keep using it.

  • Nevada and texas are both shitholes. They exist to exploit workers who don't know any better and have bought into a lie sold to them by rich people.

  • Because texas is a shithole and the things conservatives like about it are why it sucks.

  • I agree. California has a great geographical advantage, but it's not what makes the state so attractive to live in.

People don't like a cloistered lifestyle unless they've lived in it their entire lives. This means that new people considering moving to 'flyover states' have to contend with the local tribe that has been conned into thinking abortion kills babies and immigrants are sent by the devil.

It's extremely difficult to break this trend, but I think we should be doing what we can to reach those who didn't have the opportunities we did.

  • Nothing, really. If I'm picky about something, I usually just won't eat it.

I don't like skins on sausage or pulp in beverages.

  • Teach people how to cite appropriately.

We learned how to do it in middle school, but I can tell most of my adult peers either didn't pay attention or forgot.

  • My mom was really against cursing and of course anything sexual, but the rest was pretty much fair game.

An exception would be Manhunt, but I even got to play MGS3 as a kid (which ended up being my favorite game of all time.)

  • It's just business. If they weren't renting from you, they'd be renting from someone else.

  • Probably not. You can try to find more niche, tech-minded communities, but they will be small and I don't see discussion lasting awhile.

It's unfortunate how many people are eager to fall for tribalism, but it puts into perspective why most of them should not be taken seriously.

Hopefully you can help make a community that values discussion over virtue-signaling.

  • Microwave meatball subs and raw broccoli.
