  • There's a time and place for everything and it's called 'College'.

  • Frankenstein (the book) is all over the place. Haven't seen the new movie yet so I don't know what settings they use there.

A lot of it depends on context. You're not really told where the city in the Matrix is located, but based on the skyscrapers and freeways in part 2 it feels really LA-ish. Filmed in Sydney. But of course "The Matrix" has no physical location so it doesn't matter.

  • I mean anything is POSSIBLE. People meet and date and even get married from online communications all the time.

  • Would you do that for a girl back home with whom you had a random hookup but no serious intentions?

If "no" then then you're probably leading them on thinking you're getting married.

If anything, you're taking advantage of them, living in their house and sleeping with their daughter.

  • Usually I see them because there's a super flaky user who creates new accounts, makes a bunch of posts in a variety of groups, then self deletes their account for some reason orphaning their posts.

So I get to remove a bunch of otherwise worthwhile posts because the user killed their account. Not sure what they think they're accomplishing.

  • Could be the gloss coat on the cover, spray a rag with Lysol or something similar and wipe them down.

If it's INSIDE the books too, all you can do is fan them and air them out.

  • I think it drops off after a week? Yours was created on the 8th, so sometime after the 15th?

  • You might try asking in the book specific communities and see what turns up? 🤔

Dunno specifically, as the closest I get to that orbit are my wife's Bridgerton books. LOL.

  • I bought chicken salad, ate some, and realized that there was no chicken in it and returned it.

"Your chicken salad is just 'salad'."

    They apologized and refunded it.

  • Brand fanboys + free stickers.

  • Yeah, that's a good one. I like the Illuminati Papers and Right Where You Are Sitting Now as well!

  • All of Wilson is fantastic, but this is probably the most accessible of his fiction.

His non-fiction though, man, throw a dart. 😉

  • Tostada?

  • I get it, I'm the introvert too, but it helps to understand where they are coming from...

For them, these inane conversations are likely their pressure/stress release. Medical gigs can be pretty high pressure and everyone reacts to that differently.

I've only witnessed it from the patient side, but I get where it's coming from.

When I had my first heart attack, it was just after Thanksgiving and the cardiac ward was decorated for Thanksgiving. They had these "Guess the heart rythm" charts made out of tinsel, and I got to see them all as I walked the ward after surgery.

(Bonus, immediately after open heart surgery they make you get up and walk around multiple times a day.)

The chart right by the nurses station? I wish I had taken a photo of it... tinsel flatline ending in an angel. LOL.

  • We had one group of three kids and their parents, that was it. I blame the rain storm. We got hit with an "atmospheric river" that started about 2 bours before it got dark. 😭
