  • I wasn't replying to OP though. I was replying to someone saying that living through an era makes it harder to discern the changes. I didn't really agree with that because the 90s felt different from the 80s, even as I lived through them.

  • I dunno. The 80s had a very particular vibe. When the 90s came along, it just felt different, even as I lived through it.

I think the 2000's didn't feel that much different than that 2010's.

But yeah maybe it's recency bias.

  • Came here to recommend Brother printers. They willingly accept non-Brother ink (at least my one does).

  • Honestly love the first amendment in the US. That video is gas!

  • I'm very similar. Earplugs have been a game changer for me. Might be worth a whirl for you.

  • Just wanted, months later, to say thanks for this recommendation. I don't get much gaming time but I did wishlist this and picked it up for a song and have been playing an hour here or there of it and thoroughly enjoying it.

  • Yeah it was pre-upscaled. I don't think there's any higher quality source available than the DVDs so it was almost certainly the original source.

  • I watched an upscaled version of Star Trek Voyager and it blew the socks off the crappy DVD or Netflix version. There were issues around edges in places but overall it looked markedly better.

  • Oh I agree that gross levels of wealth are the bigger problem by a country mile. We're in total agreement there.

People earning half a million a year are still raking in money from earned wealth from excess money. I suppose my objections are twofold; that it's a donations based organisation and that wages just shouldn't be that high (and I grant you hers are at the lower level of many large companies C level packages).

  • Be angry at wealth, not income

I can think that both are gross beyond a certain point.

Does she really need the donations I've been giving to top her up to that level? Or is 300K more than enough for anyone? It would certainly be more palatable to those giving donations.

I think that utterly ridiculous wages at C level generally have become normalised and the amount of people in this thread defending a half a million salary is clear evidence of that to me.

  • Nice one. Will check it out.

  • It's ambiguous. Fresh white bread could be considered both amazing or dull.

Did you feel like the date went well?

If it was meant as an insult then the guy is a cunt. Did he give off cunt vibes?

  • I think the thinking is that half a million is a disgusting amount for anyone to earn annually and I tend to agree with that.

  • Have you a nice dark mode plugin going on that I should have?

  • S2 was a great phone in fairness. If you do upgrade the phone you'll be shocked at how far screens have come in that time. Cameras too but more on the mid range and higher phones. Cheaper ones are still taking mid pictures.

  • My phone is 14 years old

Incredible work tbh. Mind me asking what phone that is?

I got 5 years out of my last one and 3 so far on current one and feel like I'm doing well with 8 years from two phones.

  • I was 12 when that happened and even then I knew from quite far away that a great evil had left the world. He got what he deserved. Prick.

  • 100% fatality rate.

  • I think it's cool! Congratulations on your two degrees. As to your question, I'm not sure why people would find it negative.
