  • Berty is an open source messenger app that works with or without an internet connection, and has Android and iOS apps. As it’s peer-to-peer there’s no server component.

  • How regular C++ feels if English isn’t your first language

  • For a complex (i.e., larger) image, I would be concerned that I didn’t exercise all of my app’s functionality and something important might be stripped out of the image.

    I use Alpine instead of Ubuntu when I’m concerned about image size.

  • Can’t tell if these things are satire anymore.

    They forgot to mention the 45-minute commute (each way), paying for parking (itemized receipts for partial reimbursement), the depressing breakroom where you’re forced to socialize with that one person, the noisy and distracting open floor plan office, uncomfortable business-casual wardrobe, and the even more awkward Zoom meetings that you still have to attend, except in a conference room with 10 people projected on a screen.

    But at least they did mention the huge productivity killer that is the ability for anyone to walk over to your desk and interrupt you at any time.
