  • I was pretty underwhelmed by the footage of Mario Kart World for Switch 2, but I haven't played MK since Double Dash, so I was kind of interested... So I went and bought MK8. It's fine - pretty much what I expected, it feels exactly the same as double dash minus the cool two-drivers mechanic. I played a couple of rounds with the kids it it went okay.

  • They come larger than 256, but obviously pricey:

The Lexar microSD Express card is priced at $199.99 for the 1TB version, $99.99 for the 512GB model, and $49.99 for the 256GB variant.

  • I'm pretty interested in this one. I wonder how long it will take for Rebirth to come to Switch?

  • Well, yes, but then I'd have to buy a new PC. And I'm assuming it would have to be pretty good. Still an option if you've got the hardware, though.

  • That's the thing. I can hold off buying the Switch now, because there's nothing that's a must play being released this year. But when the next Zelda or two come out... Well. It's not like other franchises that might release as a console exclusive and make it to PC/whatever a year or two later. Nintendo games stay on Nintendo.

  • In my mind, all it boils down to is that Nintendo think that they can charge that much and would like us to believe it's worth it. Whether it is worth it is subjective and up to each individual. Most of us will probably be tighter with our choices in some way.

  • I felt that shinies were somehow more common in Arceus than Scarlet. I guess it's not too difficult in Scarlet if you can make enough of the right kind of sandwich, but in Arceus they simply seem to spawn randomly more often.

  • How can you get anything done with that? You'll need to keep on complaining, otherwise they'll never do anything about it.

  • That's cheap. I'm with Virgin, and when I was checking Fibre deals a year or two ago, I'm sure they all required line rental which put the price way up. I can see it's much more reasonable now.

  • It was hall effect sticks, but OP somehow managed to delete the url and leave the thumbnail image

  • Oh, I don't know if it's confirmed - I just thought all upgrades would be included, the same as the two Zelda games. If that's not the case for all Switch 2 edition games, then maybe it's only available via buying the upgrade for Kirby. Maybe I was too hopeful!

  • Kirby's actually quite a fun game, and this is more interesting to me than resolution/framerate upgrades in BotW & TotK - it's basically a DLC addition, although it's not clear how big the extra content is. ~It seems the upgrades are included in the NSO Expansion Pass subscription or as a paid extra (if you own the Switch 1 game).~

    Edit: maybe not re NSO

  • The secret ingredient is crime

  • Ah, okay. I only got a switch in 2020 or 2021, so I rarely bought newly released games.

  • That's exactly my feeling lol

  • I'm not sure if we're agreeing or not. I was only talking about physical, and Amazon, Argos, etc. always sell for cheaper than Nintendo's webstore. I sure hope physical games aren't being phased out, but maybe this price difference between digital and physical is just reflecting that digital distribution is cheaper for Nintendo than producing physical carts.

  • WW, F-zero GX, SCII were all amazing games. Really looking forward to playing them again 20 years later
