I was going to build a gaming pc for the first time in years on Black Friday
This news put it on hold immediately. I’ll just get the Steam Machine instead, it’s exactly what I’ve wished for: a more powerful Steam Deck without a screen or controller built in.
AND it’ll run 4k games so I don’t need to downscale to my monitor.
I’m perfectly fine with it being FSR and only 60fps, as 99% of the stuff I play are single player games anyway.
I tried it but Copyparty worked better, it has a massive community suddenly and tons of cool features that mostly stay out of the way unless you enable them
Or just: “if you have nothing to hide, why do you close and lock the bathroom door?”
It’s clearer about different kinds of privacy. Sometimes you just don’t want people looking at you doing things even if you’re not doing anything illegal.
I’m mostly a Visual Studio Code user, but Helix is for when I need to quickly edit something in the terminal or over ssh.
I set up LSPs for go, shell scripts and a few others, it was mostly just installing packages locally and helix just picks them up. And more importantly doesn’t shove 500 error messages in my face if something isn’t there, like nvim
Nope, and I’m perfectly fine with it. It’s still better than 1080p
