  • Ubisoft finally engineered the fun out of that franchise too eh?

  • I never did get into Minecraft - is Mineclonia a better place to start if I did get into it?

  • Yeah I'm there with you on Nightreign, the run is really fun. There's something about it that is making me start to think that's actually the way Fromsoft games work the best. I still have a few issues with the game in general but crafting your build around the loot and its passives is super satisfying.

  • Huh never heard of Mullet Madjack, looks pretty nuts

  • Oh I was doing a bunch of Helldivers 2 as well until Nightreign. Such a chaotic blast. The new city stuff on the maps looks like crazy fun.

  • Huh I never heard of Powerslave but your description "classic metroidvania and 90s FPS" makes me think it might need to go on my list

  • I really loved Death Stranding, need to get back into it. I had the same experience but then I think I was out of town for a week and for some reason never picked it back up. It's just so melancholic and meditative sometimes and almost always has that cinematic beauty.

  • Yeah I don't see many posts here so I was wondering if quizzing the community might inspire some new interactions and maybe help develop the identity here. No need to force in weekly things that other subs are doing.

I used to love Ninja Gaiden - what would be the best place to start? NG2 then? Unbalanced but satisfying sounds okay to me.

  • I'll start - was super into Cult of the Lamb until Nightreign came out and as a Fromsoft addict I haven't really played anything else since.

  • Oh c'mon guy, just work your magic

  • Yep we're all used to enshittification by now

  • I like this.

Tangentially related - I was thinking the other day about how it seems like the rich used to feel obligated (for whatever reason) to use some of their wealth for the good of the world. But can you even imagine a 'Musk Foundation' or a fucking 'Zuckerberg Foundation'? No because they don't have even an ounce of shame or a shred of conscience. I don't know what it would even take but I do think it's far past time for us to start talking, bare minimum, about their obligations to the country and world that gave them so much.

  • I will make sure to always call it the "Fuck Donald J Trump Ballroom" in his memory

  • I don't know how well received 'Love on the Spectrum' is in the community but I have to say it was mesmerizing when the one lady was on a date with the DJ guy and they we listing off song after song and the key it was in.

  • The problem is absolutely Apple but a guy’s still gotta block his ads somehow

  • It'll end up blocking vital neurotransmitters leaving us zombified and giving us an insatiable craving for brains

  • Yeah it's so damn lazy, like they introduce these things like they're in a vaccum, situationally just to have a cool scene and toss any kind of continuity aside

  • I should go back and read that again, I remember loving it so much. Also remember when Disney announced that the extended universe would be discarded to make room for new cannon and how much my heart sank hearing it.

  • Rogue One was really close to what I want the franchise to be. Having a universe with the force users instead of about the force users is so much more interesting.
