Good projects will have docs associated with the docker/docker compose files.

The way we do it is, any update to the .yaml files will have a corresponding .yaml.Dev associated with it. That way it won't be overwritten when an update occurs as well as give a recommended setup.

I have a librry that has been downloaded 1.9 million times for a VERY specific functionality. Never gotten a red cent.

Thats incredibly cheap for a whole family (if this is medical) just FYI. I know it doesn't feel like it but I used to work in insurance and thats about what you would end up paying. Except most policies are around 100$ more for family at the very least.

Mostly at work. All our stuff was on Azure, so when it went down....I kinda just stood around for the day. It was up/down the entire day. So I went for a coffee lol.

Cache-ing is a hard problem to solve. For MANY years cloudflare was the cheapest and easiest way to solve the issue.

But the same people that started cloudflare have moved on or passed away. Now its just another corp. So yeah we are going to get downtime. In the corporate world, its the standard so no one is going to move off it.

...unless it keeps going down consistently.

For those who are in the know, does memcache work with lemmy/piefed? What is a good Cache for modern day systems?

So far this year its been:

AWS was massively down
Azure was down a week later
Cloudflare down multiple times this year

Thats the ones that affect stuff at work. Fun times.

I saw it back in 2019 on the way to Colorado. It was amazing. I really enjoyed it over there near Salt Lake City. Their libraries were huge and (at the time) fastest internet I ever saw.

We saw the lake a couple of years later and it was scary how much dried up. And there were HUGE dust storms at the time that got a ton of sand and salt in the car. Its really sad to see.
